I really appreciated Chris messaging and co-ordinating our arrival, and Chris welcomed us to our pitch and made sure we were comfortable. We really appreciated that we were only a short walk from the local pub, but when at the pitch we felt like we were out in the wild.

The pitch site is a proper forest and it’s wonderful! The pitch is massive (we stayed in 6 and a child in a pitch), and you are allowed to keep cars in there. We were in the fields but there are many pitches in the middle of the woods too. If you go for an exploration you can find lots of mushrooms, mini apples, sheep herds and few swings. It was really adventurous and our group was from 8 years old to 55 and we all had a great fun.
There is already a place for the fire for you and there are bricks all around it so you can use that if you don’t have your own bucket for the barbecue. As I said the pitch is secluded and you can manage your time as you want without further rules.

I wouldn’t say disliked but it could be slightly improved to make the camp get a 5+
1- the bathrooms are the portable loo and they could be a tiny better.
2- we used quite a lot of bags of wood and they burned really fast and were 6£ each. We didn’t have space in the car to take our own wood and in the end for one night camping we spent 24-30£ in wood.

Very little to dislike. One or two noisy neighbours in the day (amplified music) but it was super quiet at night.

Friendly staff. The site has many private areas . The location is great - has access to trails and close to the nearby town.

The freedom - very hands off campsite, with a big beautiful area on the site to explore. The hands off attitude was quite liberating and was obviously being enjoyed by other campers.

The proximity to standen house is also a plus with several nice walks in the surrounding areas.

Campfires and dog friendliness also a plus, and the mature trees and forested areas were a nice touch in contrast to most forested areas nearby which tend to be coppiced.

No washing up areas or showers is a bit of a downside, but with the vastness of the site I can fully understand it. It would be nice if there was at least one communal area however.

A map of the site would have been appreciated as we were on a thoroughfare, which was undesirable to us and we would have chosen a different pitch had we known.

It was a real wild camping experience. We have stayed onlu a night. Adult secluded places are the best as we dont like kids running around and screaming.
The owner is really nice. I was not kind enough to ask his name. He is kind and helpful.
We will definetly come back again. I highly recommend this campsite.

Me and my wife were looking for a nice getaway and we were lucky to find the Evergreen Farm Woodland Campsite. We picked the Pond Pitch for the extra sense of romance and it was amazing. It had a beautiful view of the pond, we had excellent wifi to stream a movie on our laptop, Chris the staff member was extremely helpful and generous in giving directions and providing us with everything we needed for the night such as water , firewood and a fire starter. Will definitely be going again for another getaway

It was amazing, the owner was super helpful and offered a ride to our pitch. The woods are beautiful, we couldn't see any other tents from our tents - we could hear some but to be expected at a campsite.
An amazing campsite which was very close to wild camping in a forest, but without the hassel. Highly recommended if you want a minimalist campsite.
