I have been using campsites for over 50 years and this is the best I have ever stayed on for the owners careful and considered approach to site design, layout and emphasis towards encouraging wildlife. The site creates a feeling of peace and tranquility so rarely seen. You can just tell that David has put his heart and soul to developing something really special.

The pitch was spacious and fully serviced. Toilet block / showers were well maintained, and the toilet paper was decent!
The whole site was very tranquil with direct access to a river walk.

Road noise can be a distraction, but not overbearing

Really nice site, clean and well kept. The owner was friendly and easy going. The facilities block was clean and well maintained. Will certainly visit again if we are in the area.

Once again, it was a genuine pleasure to stay at Cresslands. Beautiful, quiet site with access to lovely footpaths and small lanes for running/cycling. The owner is the nicest person you could possibly meet and he keeps the site spotless and beautifully maintained. This is now officially an annual trip for me and my son - quality time you can't put a price on.

Friendly and helpful when I phoned the day before to add more people to my booking.
Friendly greeting and shown to our pitch. Explained where everything was and gave me a lovely leaflet with useful information.
Great pitch, hardstanding with water, waste and EHU and a nicely mown grass area, some grass areas are longer to encourage wildlife.
A well kept, exceptionally clean toilet and shower block. Only 2 toilets/showers but the shower had plenty of room and stayed on - no push button! It seemed enough for the 12 pitches which were all occupied.
It is on the dearer end of what I normally pay but was near the location I was visiting, but I would definitely return when I am in the area again.

The road noise could be heard but this is not the owner’s fault

Wonderful setting, large pitches, well maintained, friendly welcome and helpful advice. Managed to see the barn owl and Kingfisher.

A15 can be heard but not too bad.

A wonderful park in many ways. The entire site is really well maintained with good shower/toilet/washing facilities. The pitches are a great size with impressive views.
We were welcomed by David on arrival. He has done an amazing job of creating a lovely site over a period of a few years. (There is a great photo history wall in the shower room!) David was so helpful he even offered to drive us to our 10k run the next day!
We will definitely be back.

A warm friendly and very helpful welcome from David to us newbie caravaners. The site is beautifully maintained and the location excellent for walking along the river. Will definitely be returning in the future.
