Plenty of room warden friendly

Had to provide own toilet rolls

Communal fridge, indoor washing up area.
Not too far to walk from the pitch to the toilets and showers.
There was a shop and fire pits to hire, which although we didn't use I think is a great asset to a campsite.
Quiet and peaceful site

No toilet roll provided so having to remember to take it with you!
Shower head was broken in one of the ladies showers which made having a shower quite difficult.

The pitches were large and well maintained as was the site generally. Hook up was stable and motorhome services were available. There were a few units in our field but plenty of room for everyone. Outdoor laundry facilities, kitchen facilities and fire pits were available nearby. We didn't explore the other parts of the site but the site map showed a couple of shower blocks and different types of accommodation.

The drive way is gravelled with lots of potholes. On arrival the office was shut so we phoned the number given and we were directed to our pitch and told someone would catch up with us with information about the site etc. This didn't happen and the office and shop were locked for most of the time so we couldn't pick up local tourist information either. The main shower block by our pitch has timed lights which had been put on by previous users of the block and went off during my shower! The main block was also closed from the morning of our second day. There was a smaller block in use (2 toilets and 1 shower) but the shower riser was broken and taped and did not hold the shower head. You also need to supply your own toilet roll. I think they was another shower block near the other parts of the site.

The clean facilities and lovely local area are the best bits about this site. Staff were great to chat to and super helpful. The fish and chip van coming was great option to have on the Saturday & the camp fire use.

Very tidy campsite, one of our favourites. Good clean facilities including showers and other stuff like fridges, electric kettle, all in close proximity to our pitch. Had plenty of room now the schools have gone back. Plus friendly staff. What more could you want?

This is our third visit in 10 years so there's nothing we dislike.

How easy checking in was and how close the field is to showers and toilets. The chip van on a Saturday and the forest area with den building and hammocks is a great touch.

The pitches are extremely close. The site would benefit from having a quiet field or space the tents out more as our neighbours told us off for having a quiet conversation as they was sleeping. (We was not noisy just quietly talking about our plan for the following day was enough to make them grouchy with us ) pitch spacing Definitely let the site down a little bit.

Second time visiting, had a spacious quiet flat pitch with a gorgeous view of the countryside and sunset- non electric & away from all of the noise as requested, friendly attentive warden, well maintained facilities, dog friendly, fire pit friendly, short walk to Charlbury and woodlands

Lots of space, several buildings across the camp site with showers, toilets, kitchen, fridges and freezers available to use, washing machine, microwave, toasters, kettles...small handy shop, clean and very very quiet place but close to several hiking spots, historic towns and parks.
Very dog and family friendly ! Amazing little woodland where children from whole camp site spent every minute possible. It was just magical place where they all forgot about phones and x boxes :)
