The site is well kept, lovely and clean, ideally located and we have visited many many times. Credit to Dave and Ingrid who are fantastic hosts.

Particularly enjoyed the quiet surroundings with no children. The shower and toilet facilities were kept wonderfully clean and tidy. Considering the amount of rain there has been the of the upkeep of the grounds was superb.Owners are charming and all to happy to help with any problems

Showers were a little cold at busy times but this was easily resolved with a bit of waiting. Electric hookups for the tents could be a little easier to navigate but not an issue if you have long enough cables.

Great facilities, generously sized pitches surrounded by hedges, stunning location on a mere for evening strolls. Dave and Ingrid were friendly and happy to help with any questions and requests.

We had a lovey stay here. There are many walks directly from the campsite but lots to do a short drive away also. We walked along the canal in both directions to Ellesmere and Welshampton and would recommend food at the Sun Inn. I was worried initially that the bathroom facilities would be inadequate on a bank holiday weekend but it was all fine and did not have to wait for anything. Clean, and functional. The extra living/kitchen/bar space was a really nice touch and well used.

Wouldn’t say disliked.. but shower block needs updating.. no water point.. filled up before going to pitch but ran out..

Walks from the site to local pubs (about 2 miles away) through nature reserves and along canals.
Fantastic social area with kettle, toaster, fridges and microwave. Plenty of seating - but it was always quiet when we wanted to use it.
Well maintained site with loads of pitches to choose from.

Could possibly do with an extra sink in each toilet block for busy times, but a minor issue.

Loved the fact that there was no idea how many people were on site as everyone is spread out in little pockets with hedges in-between. We were in the field with the yurt and the glamping pods and huts and we were the only tent ⛺️ . At the end of our field is a gate which takes you to the col mere lake, its a circular walk around it and I loved doing it first thing in the morning. Showers were nice and hot. Near the showers is a lovely spacious room where you can go on the WiFi or just chill in there in the evenings with a drink and play some cards. The hosts of the site were nice and friendly and really helpful.

Everything !!! pitches are great size and randomly placed so not regimented. Lovely communal area, clean toilets and showers, beautiful campsite with ponds, lots of flowers and natural planting - and an abundance of beautiful dragonflys to watch. Access to colemere lake is within metres from the site, also lovely canal walk into Ellesmere. Site was really peaceful during the day and really quiet at night. Owners are very helpful and have time to chat. This has to be one of our favourite sites, really pretty and well cared for and fantastic location. Will definately return.
