The helpfulness and friendlyness of the owners. He gave us a tour of the site and was very approachable if we needed help with anything.

Pitches were well distanced from everyone else which offered a bit of privacy.

He also gave us a map of the the area with a list of things to do and the distances which we used all weekend.

The campsite was clean with all amenities including a microwave.

The prettiest campsite I’ve ever visited and very near the lake behind.

That the water was right behind another person’s pitch. Fortunately they were friendly so were not bothered by us collecting water from behind their tent.

There were insufficient toilets (2 ladies and 1 family toilet) and I had to line up a number of times on the weekend and wait a long time.

WiFi only available near the amenities.

Camped here before in tent but getting too old so decided to try a Pod. Loved it, so clean, comfortable and compact. It has everything you need to enjoy the camping experience. The site is perfect, the hosts are wonderful, everywhere is clean and tidy, friendly and quiet.

Always a lovely stay in beautiful natural surroundings. Love seeing the wildlife on site. Facilities are everything we need with great extra touches like the communal lounge area. Warm and friendly hosts, always welcoming to their beautiful site.

My first time going anywhere for the night by myself with my two dogs and I couldn’t have been happier or more comfortable. I stayed in the Badger pod which was so cosy and thoughtfully put together, inside was a double wooden framed bed, a sofa, tv and kettle. The bed was super comfortable and the pod was so cosy! Everyone on site was really friendly and my two dogs had a lovely time. There is direct access to the lake walk from the site which was perfect. I will definitely be back!

Quietness and location. Being able to choose where we wanted to park up. Clean amenities and a well equipped kitchen/dining/meet up indoor place. Good varied walks from site for our dog. Friendly helpful owners. Booked for 2 nights ended up staying 3. Pubs and shops within walking distance (about 40 mins on flat paths)

Very small point. Having easier access to filling up motorhome with water without feeling you are encroaching on someone’s pitch.

Nice sized pitches

Only 2 toilets in the male area and I didn’t like the open top and bottom saloon style toilet doors.

The 2 male shower cubicles were quite small and the drying area of one of those was just way too small.

Only 1 washbasin in the male toilets to wash hands, or brush teeth.

The toilet and shower areas really needs modernising. Especially as they’re the only available facilities for the whole site, so it can be quite a trek in the dark to get to them during the night.

Lovely peaceful site with large pitches. Nice clean facilities including barn to use. Very easy access to walks from the back of the site around the lake. Helpful information given on arrival and friendly owners.

When busy could do with a few more toilets to avoid the queues.
