Nice big site with good swimming facilities.
The shop was well stocked and reasonably priced.
All Cofton staff were amazing and represented the brand well.

There was some anti social behaviour which made my kids feel uneasy. So much so that we left the area and headed back to our accommodation. There didn’t appear to be any security patrols of staff visible after dark.

Everything was just perfect ! Outdoor and indoor ,Both kids 5 and 16 loved it !

Price and costs

Site has many amenities: bar, restaurant, indoor and outdoor swimming pools,l and separate fish and chip shop. Fresh pizza to order from bar, gym, fitness room. Reception team very good. Numerous shower/toilet facilities over the site. Range of accommodations: Static, touring caravan and tent pitches available as well as some purpose built cottages. Very good range of pitch sizes. Many very tidy hard standing block paved pitches for car and caravan with separate tidy gravel space for a large awning in between. Gravel is very clean. Latched full height gate to well screened chemical toilet for caravans in same area as shower blocks. Whole site is well maintained. There is also an old church on site. Disabled access to bar and pool via lift and ramps to reception. Modern good showers and toilets and all regularly cleaned. Fishing also available on site. Plenty to do in local areas. Good number of National Trust sites nearby too. Wireless signal was good - at top of site - did not use elswhere, so did not need to pay extra for sites own internet.

Very minor gripes: Did not realise I had to down load app and prepay for electricity through 'meter macs' website until I had made the booking so an extra (minor) cost to consider. I can understand why this is done as large site so must have huge electricty load to manage with the potential number of guests in peak seasons. Unused payments are refundable at end of stay at reception.
Struggled a bit with our touring caravan waste water outflow as caravan level only just on same level as external drain which is at kerb height - caravans vary but most have waste outlets at same height as ours. Had to support our flexi waste pipes to aid flow.
Mirrors in shower areas (an easy fix) would be useful as had to go to the separate toilet block for these.
Lighting posts can get in the way a little bit for manoeuvring large caravans (pitch SP075) in and out of pitches. We got round this using our motor movers.

We stayed here earlier in the year and had such a lovely time we came back, pitch a was big, clean facilities, friendly staff, lovely indoor and outdoor swimming pool, well equipped shop, fantastic Wifi, bus stop just outside the campsite if you wanted to go of for the day, beautiful walks, we will definitely be returning.

We booked last minute for one night and this wasn’t a problem like some sites . The staff from reception, the man that showed us to our pitch and all the hospitality staff were all so helpful and very friendly. The site is so well maintained and very clean. Fantastic value for money. Would definitely go back .

Pitches are too tight in my opinion, we were on a corner and the roads in between the pitch in front of us was narrow. Spent the whole time worried someone wouldn’t be able to get through. Also very uneven and one of them was -7 on the level

Plenty of amenities especially for younger members of the party. Toilets and showers were nice and clean and warm. Food was good. Plenty of entertainment. Didn't use the chip shop this time but is nice to have that option

WiFi was expensive.
