Clean toilets and shower block, quiet remote campsite. The stream running alongside was absolutely beautiful.

Nothing i disliked, the rivers quite fast so some may dislike the noise at night but I found it helped me sleep.

It was such a friendly, safe space. Facilities were cleaned often and I often got a check in to see if anything was needed. Fantastic location for travelling into Keswick if you want to take in the views. I felt very safe as a solo traveller. Local pub was at hand for a drink too. No problems with bugs either. Picinic tables also available for use.

I couldn’t tell if someone was in the shower facitiles so had to listen to check for shower. Maybe a red/green system is needed?

Everything! We stayed in the bell tent and could not have asked for more. All creature comforts supplied as well as our own toilet and cooking area (with pans etc).

Very close to the river and loved the sound of the running water as we slept. Sadly only had one night but will return for longer!

Lovely campsite with a huge pitch! We were right by the river and it was great. Fire pit and picnic bench provided which was a lovely surprise as was very useful! Toilets and showers very clean, aswell as a lovely little kitchen with sink. Owners were very helpful when they saw how much rain was coming they put plastic mats out infront of our tent to lessen the mud. Weather was quite bad for our stay so hopefully next time will be an even better experience. Pub close by is super nice aswell but make sure to book as gets very busy!

The weather! Camp site was excellent and good value.

Easy booking, greeted on arrival and really happy with our pitch. Some of the pitches have bench seats.
This was an overnight stop and we were glad we had booked a meal at the pub just down the road as it was quite busy.
The showers and loos are immaculate.
There is a washing up area and information point.
The Cumbrian Way passes the campsite. So great for backpackers.
A lovely peaceful site with very nice owners. Really good rates.

Absolutely nothing!

We liked it all. It’s a lovely quiet site, with all the necessary facilities, of which were clean and tidy at all times.
Phone signal was brilliant.
Lovely local village.
We bought wood from the site and fire pit provides. Overall had a lovely time.

Would be great to have a freezer! But not a necessity.

Lovely owner, immaculate facilities and grounds, right next to a stream so you sleep to the sound of water. A nice trail right off the back of the site for walking/hiking.

What’s to dislike, would stay again in a heartbeat.

Absolutely stunning site in a stunning location. A lovely warm welcome from Val who was very helpful and approachable throughout our stay. When I arrived I asked if we could add an extra night and this was sorted with no problems, amazing. The site was absolutely beautiful. I’ve never camped anywhere as clean (the toilets especially where cleaner than most bed and breakfasts). There was a kitchen on site too which is an added bonus although we never needed to use it. The site was quiet, peaceful and really cosy. Stunning surroundings and camped next to a large stream/river. We will be staying here again and probably again after that, so impressed. Thank you Caldbeck camping!
