THE TOILET BLOCKS ARE ADAQUATE. IF THEY BUILT A NEW TOILET/ SHOWER BLOCK, I WOULD BE THERE ALL THE TIME.

Brilliant stay. Owners were so helpful and even sent a text in the morning when there was thunder and lightning to say we could stay longer if needed. Loos and showers were lovely too.

We really enjoyed our weekend here with a small group of friends & would return. A lovely, large & open site with a relaxed & friendly atmosphere. The owners were usually around & really helpful & the shop is incredibly well stocked despite its size. The airfield at one end of the campsite is quiet & not at all intrusive - we only saw one plane land during our time, sadly!

Being able to walk to the beach from here was also a bonus (beach parking is quite expensive here), as were the pizza & cocktail pop-ups on Sat night (apparently Fridays sometimes too). The dog field is really handy too for early morning sniffs & zoomies.

Not strictly a dislike but as some others have said, there are not quite enough toilets & basins when it’s busy. If you avoid the morning & evening rushes it’s not an issue though.

Wasn’t overcrowded so plenty of space for the kids to ride their bikes and play football on the grass. Short distance to major town-Sidmouth
Fairly unique setting with the airfield at the end of the site and exciting when planes did land/take off
Be aware of the very thin/single track lane off the main road to the site

We ended up using the shower in our van, as the on-site washing facilities were not clean. The shower curtains and mats were dirty, and it didn’t appear to be from recent use. It would be much better if these were removed altogether, as the facilities really need a thorough deep clean or modernisation.
I’d also prefer an awareness of the owners to the language they use when kids are nearby.

Had a fantastic bank holiday weekend at this lovely campsite, Tracy was so welcoming and the site was very clean and tidy. The shop was very much appreciated when we fancied bacon one morning!! The addition of the pizza van was an added bonus, they are handmade to order and reasonably priced. The pitch sites are spacious and toilets cleaned regularly throughout the day.

Really nice, quiet, clean and tidy campsite.
Owners were really friendly and helpful.
Amenities were all very clean and tidy, even and fridge and freezer to use if needed.
Games room for the kids to keep them.entertained for half an hour or so.
Mini playground for little ones and a dog park/area for off lead time.
Beautiful views and in a great area for visiting different bays of devon.

Highly recommend the Hare and Hounds for a meal,about 6 miles,best Carvery ever.
