Pam and Gerald are such lovely and welcoming hosts! Both are always happy to stop, chat, help and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The cream teas are excellent as is the food in the restaurant. The site is very clean and well kept, with obvious pride. They made me and my 2 young sons very welcome and we can’t wait to go back!

Some pitches are slightly sloped but again this isn’t a big issue and is to be expected on a site that fits beautifully into the countryside around it rather than cover it.

Absolutely lovely Area and fantastic breakfasts in the restaurant there, which was a real treat as unusual for us camping. Owners were absolutely lovely and loved the piping hot shower at any time of day.

Having to wait until. 3pm to pitch up, we got caught in the rain to put our tent up, would have been nice to be able to set up a little earlier when we arrived as our pitch was empty when we arrived. Also shame to restaurant/ bar wasn’t open as it only opens from Friday.

Open space, animals to visit

Toilets, washing up and showers basic but functional. Food wasn't great and a little pricey.

Family friendly site. Only stayed one night but it was nice and we had very friendly neighbours which was good as they were so very close! Facilities very clean.

Electric pitch was in the middle of a field inches from the neighbours when there were lots of more suitable free pitches. Also it was quite a slope even using the chocks. Didn’t complain as like I said it was just an overnight. Other campers were upset by the road noise which is quite loud and fairly constant. Didn’t affect us too much as in a campervan but I imagine it would in a tent.

Superb views in rural location. On site food was very good and reasonably priced. Space allowed was good, some sites try to cram too much on for the sake of a few pounds more. Electric hook ups were plentiful. The site was kept clean and tidy as were the shower and toilet facilities which are a little on the basic side but kept clean. We prefer rustic clean to five star filthy. If you are lucky enough to be there on a clear night make the most of the view upwards to the stars, it’s incredible.

Some pitches are on a slope so be sure to take any levelling device you have available……..or buy some! The site is just off a road which can be quite busy and therefore noisy even during the early morning hours.

Clean facilities but unfortunately the building itself was made from building wood which has the intention to look very old and not clean.
But it was cleaned at least twice a day.

Wifi reception was at our pitch poor.
Perhaps more facilities for the size of the camping but that seems almost everywhere an issue in England.

We booked this site within an hour Pam was really helpful…. There cider was amazing defo recommend it we lived there dining area very authentic and the fact you can buy farm house sausages, eggs even burgers we thought gave it the real Devon feel.

There was nothing I didn’t dislike if anything I was suprised how warm they were to everyone defo would highly recommend

The lovely owners on site, the size of the pitches and the lovely constantly cleaned facilities all made our brief stay (due to a badly leaking tent) very pleasant. We had a very nice cream tea just before our departure which was very nice.
