Clean facilities and hit water added the extra comfort.
Kind and helpful staff who greets you even out of office hours, had a call to say "Hello" as I arrived after check-in time. Got directions on how to get to the pitches and have been invited to chose from any available spots . Choose the "Owl" pitch . Every pitch has its own fireplace. Will definitely recommend ACE for any adventures or just a family camping. Suited for everyone.

ACE Hideaways is a lovely place to be! It is super beautiful in the nature there. And the campsite has a great atmosphere and the outside kitchen and the wooden name tags give it a somewhat fairylike vibe.
Tracey, who runs the camping is super helpful en sweet, I loved having a chat with her!
The only thing I recommend is having a car or an other vehicle. I was on foot and the campsite is a 3 hour walk away from the nearest town and in that way you can feel pretty isolated. Other than that, go there!

Everything - all services there that we needed. Packed a gas cooker and didn't need it because there's an outside kitchen. I loved camping amongst the trees.

We stayed one night at the shepherd's hut and. We were so glad we booked this hut! Everything was very clean and the hut couldn't be more cute! With all the things you need to go camping but with the advantage of sleeping in a very comfy hut surrounded by the forest and waking up to the birds and nothing else! We are already planning our next stay with them! 100% recommended!!

The feeling of wild camping even though we were in a contained campsite with facilities. The large pitch size was great, and loved the outdoor kitchen area, which was much needed on the wet nights.

Each pitch has a fire pit, but no logs were provided to light a fire.

Camping in woodland was so peaceful and atmospheric. At the time of our stay we were the only people camping in the woodland area. Each pitch has a little campfire set up. The facilities are very good. It made camping for my partner a bit easier as it’s only me who really loves camping.

Remote, off the grid, private, quiet, friendly staff, activities available to do on site (although we didn't do any). The scenery was beautiful, wild aspect but the shepherds hut we stayed in had everything we needed to get us by for the 3 nights we stayed there. There was solar lighting for the inside which definitely came in handy. The hut includes a log burner with wood which made it so much more comfortable on an evening.

Free wifi was available in the reception area, this didn't reach up to the shepherd's hut though. This could be a positive or a negative depending on who you are though.

The showers weren't amazing, lost pressure when someone flushed a toilet or had the tap on, but they were lovely and warm still. The path leading into the campsite and up to the Shepard's huts isn’t great, it meant that if we were going out, we needed to make sure we were out for the day as multiple trips up and down that road would have caused damage to the car.
The shepherds huts were quite far from the toilets/showers. Would be a good idea to have some more higher up for the huts. No running water up at the huts, so again had to walk to the main area for this. The huts could do with the option of some security lighting on the outside as it get very dark on a night and as the path isn't even It could cause injury if not careful.
