great pub , food and location

campsite needs updating and tidying up trees bushes and grass need cutting right back 🥲 it was ok but could look amazing xx

DON'T BOOK - we arrived to find they'd gone out of business end of October 2024! The toilets were inside the pub, and we had no toilets ourselves so had to find another site. Shame, looked like it would be really nice place with a tidy up of the camping facilities. Hopefully new owners can be found.

Dirty toilets overflowing bins. Pub accepted our booking for Saturday 2nd November knowing that they were closed from October really disappointed with communication. Never again

do not go we paid for 2 night on arrival pub was shut so couldn’t book in all in dark pitches of what we could see in dark was muddy and low branches on trees waiting for refund as we had to find somewhere else

The campsite was very nice close to places to visit clean and tidy easy to find the food was amazing in the pub well recommend

Lovely area and easy walking distance to the Malvern hills. Pub was also welcoming and busy, with good food.

Lack of communication on pitches, as we were not shown where to set up and our friends that had booked also, did not have a pitch?
Showers were not working on the Sunday morning, after power tripping after 2 mins.

Overnight pitch without electric was £10

Ok where do we start

No confirmation email and could not get hold of anyone on phone
No instructions given so when we got there we just parked up not knowing if we were in the correct pitch
The grass was Overgrown and some deep puddles which looked like potholes
The toilets are a joke with coat hanger tops used to lock the door
Pub opened at 4pm and then we mentioned this to the manager who just shrugged his shoulders
This was the start to our 1 night stay
We decided to eat at the Indian pub
We ordered food and the next thing we found was that the Indian prepped chicken wings were not in stock so we were offered bbq....we changed our order to 2x sheesh kebaps
20mins later and bear in mind we were the only people eating our sheesh kebab arrived....yes they got it wrong and only cooked 1x starter
Another 10 mins and the other one turned up and the original one disappeared for 2mins in a microwave
Food tasted 👍
Main course was a mixed grill which was spot on even with its Indian cooked chicken wings😅
The madras curry on the other hand was a milky colour and I've tasted spicier baby food
We mentioned this to the waiter who told us it's a proper medras and told me that's the end of it as if he expected me to take it further
The food was tasty but certainly no spice was used
So we asked for the bill and paid it
On the way out we were asked if everything was OK when I said to the manager /owner that the medras was as spicy as baby food when the chef come from the kitchen to behind the bar and started telling us we new nothing about Indian food with a slightly elevated attitude...
I mentioned to the manager that he should tighten up on his business or he could find he would loose his customers to where he shrugged his shoulders
We left the pub absolutely bemused to there attitude
