Absolutely loved our camping trip, the glade is so pretty and we loved being next to running water. The outdoor shower was great and having the pub over the road is a great set up. Andy was an amazing host, friendly and went over and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable.

A great place to feel off grid yet, adult only and have the comforts of a nice cold pint! We will definitely be back again soon.

Definitely take deet spray - midgies!

Pricey in comparison to other campsites

Great location, friendly owners, very helpful. Best outdoor shower I've ever had. Riverside location and secluded spot for campfires. Great vibe in the pub.

Although a basic site, no frills but what you get is amazing views, and a very very warm welcome. We will definitely be going back, we had so much fun. A great place to stay and chill out with a couple of drinks, made very welcome by the landlord and locals

Toilet & shower could be improved

Sheltered campsite which is very good for tent and protection from wind and rain, next to river so bring mozzie repellant. Shower very good. Cozy place with a fantastic old school pub across the road offering a kareoke night. Great fun with locals. Great location for exploring caves and hikes and the crashed ww2 bomber.

Not as "wild" as some people may like.

Where it was when we did find it. The fact we could have a campfire and bbq and a friendly welcoming

The toilet was lovely and clean when arrived. Unfortunately through no fault of the owners. After a day was disgusting men just urinate everywhere and not care. Maybe have 2 portable toilets one for me and one for women.
Also could be signed better as the sat nav took us straight past and up a very narrow road.

The sound of the river at night was bliss.. liked the local peacocks screaming away during the day.. 😱 🤣 great remote camping spot, friendly owners..lots to do in the area

Only thing we disliked was the four gates at the side of the plot on public footpath.. night walkers doing a cross country run 🏃‍♂️ although they was respectful, the gates woke us up a few times on the 2nd night.

The camping field is in a nice location

The pub landlord is very rude and there was a real sense of unfriendliness towards us. We called earlier in the day to book a table for food and they told us not to worry, to just turn up. So we did at 19:15 (on a Saturday evening) to be told they weren’t serving food. We mentioned the earlier telephone conversation to which he replied well we’ve ran out of everything. We headed a 5 minute walk down the road to the lovely Gwyn Arms who were much more friendly and served us some delicious home cooked pub food. There is also an “eco friendly” campsite near to them which is where I will be staying next time.

We loved the location near trails, and the pub drinks and ambience.
