Everything about the campsite was great! We took a dog and a baby, and couldn’t have wished for anything more.

The toilets and showers were immaculate, and the pitch size was great.

Being able to light a fire directly on the ground was great, and the fact someone drives round selling logs and kindling was a real bonus!

Everyone respects the rules about music off / noise down after 10PM.

Depending on your pitch, you might need a long extension cable for the electric pitches. We had a 15m cable and had to move pitches as it wouldn’t reach, but the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The woodland, lovely spaces. Great play area

Was very very busy. We travelled in a group with other families. But if I had been on my own with my children, it would have been very overwhelming.

We absolutely loved it despite the rain and wind. Everyone was in a good and friendly mood.

Very big site, I imagine that when it’s not a busy BH there is lots of space between pitches.
Convenient wood/logs sold onsite, fires permitted.

Not enough toilet/shower facilities

We visited BH Aug and the site was packed, if you’re going to accept that many campers I think more toilet blocks should be brought in for peak weekends.

We didn’t get to shower all weekend as Everytime I went there was a ridiculously long queue.

We loved making a campfire. Exploring the playground and the site.

Great facilities - the logs sold to you from a pickup, the ice cream van. I also liked you could charge your phone and freeze your ice packs!

I was a bit confused about the recycling and rubbish disposal. Ended up putting a lot in the general waste…

Great site! Playground was brilliant for my boys. Onsite bar (didn't use) and Cafe (did use) and shop.Cafe has fair prices and the boys loved the Mountain hot chocolate!
Shop has anything you may need or have forgotten. Logs available to buy at good prices too.

Shower was cold when I had one in the evening...though it was absolutely fine in the morning another time.

Really spacious site.
Facilities were clean and tidy, regularly cleaned and check on.
Kids loved the park

Fires on the grass.
There were loads of fire holes in the grass, made it interesting to pitch to avoid these burnt areas

Push button water points, standing pressing the button over and over(loads of pain in hands because off this,not enough toilets for a massive site

Family Friendly nice staff . Love the bar in the barn. Onsite shop/ cafe a bonus.
Beautiful surroundings near to lots of amenities and places to go.
Clean toilets and shower blocks.
Freezers to freeze ice blocks and charging station for phones.

This was our second time back ( first time was during easter hols) was very busy this time bank hoilday weekend. An additional shower block is needed to meet demand and some flood lighting on the bar barn overlooking the play area would be good as it remains open till 10pm and kids still want to play. These are constructive suggestions not really a dislike as I think this is a lovely camping site. My only real dislike was the amount of under 25 groups as some were a bit to much and certainly not great round families but get that it's hard to manage that as people book separately.
