Used Mayfield as a base for a few days cycling. From the minute we arrived found the staff excellent and very friendly. Had a fantastic stay and would definitely return 👌

The noise from the road can be bit of pain during the night but didn't spoil our stay .

WiFi struggled with signal but not a big issue.

Very friendly site - nothing too much trouble. I think it has been owned by the same family for at least three generations. Toilet and shower blocks, laundry room, pot wash room all clean and tidy. Freshly made pizzas were offered on site on Friday night. A cabin offering a freezer for ice packs and a fridge to keep your milk chilled. Also in the cabin there were books, magazines, cds and DVDs all offered for exchange and plenty of information regarding the surrounding area.There is an enclosed Gazebo which gives you free access to the internet, unfortunately the signal was too weak for me to use it this time as the park was busy. Perfect location between Cheltenham and Cirencester a gateway to the Cotswolds. With a Bus Stop right outside the park.

Unfortunately the owners can’t do anything about the constant traffic noise from the nearby dual carriageway during the day, quieter at night. For me, what the site has too offer out ways the traffic.

Really well maintained site. Staff were lovely and friendly, and always out maintaining the site in the time we were there. We were escorted to our pitch, which for some, this may not suit, but I liked that they had a system, and pitching was equally distributed for people staying on site.
Everything was easy to find and notices were clear and friendly. The toilets and showers were immaculate (always a plus point)! We were only there for two nights but loved that they had a washer, dryer, and iron for people who needed them. The kettle (whilst a simple touch) was really useful on an evening for filling the hot water bottles. Just remember to take 20p pieces for this facility which I thought was very reasonable. This socket could also be used for charging devices too for people who didn’t have an electric hook up. We would have loved to stay for longer. My little boy loved the play area where he could play football. Again, this space was immaculate and fenced off so that dogs couldn’t wander in. There were clear defined dog walking areas which were more than ample and dog waste bins on site too. We didn’t bring our dogs on this trip but would definitely consider it if we stayed again.

Only minor but the water pressure in the pot wash room wasn’t great. We found when washing up, if someone else was running a tap, the pressure would drop off. The water didn’t get hot either, it was tepid to warm at best.
I found the shower temperature to be a bit too hot but couldn’t change the temperature. I know it would have been too hot for my little boy.

Large pitches so a very good feeling of space with countryside views.
A pleasant cycle ride to Cirencester and to the pub in North Cerney.

Nothing for us to dislike.
The pitches were on a slope but not a problem if you have chocks for your vehicle. Fairly long walk to facilities but only a problem if you find walking difficult.
There was some noise from traffic in the distance but not an issue for us.

Campsite clean and tidy and organised. Good showers and toilet facilities with Radio 2 playing!
Information given was accurate eg sloping grass pitches so we were prepared

Our fully serviced pitch was large and flat in sunny spot. Little shop in reception has essentials. Bus stop just outside site with frequent service. Cirencester is a charming town with lots to see and just short bus ride away.

Toilet and shower block was a reasonable walk for us but those on more remote pitches quite a distance. The showers and floors let it down. Shower curtains not ideal, water temperature inconsistent, drainage poor, floors were always wet throughout toilet block. If something better than an old mop was available
it may have encouraged people to clean up after themselves.

Friendly staff and clean site with lots of character, good disabled facilities.

Lovely pitch, well patrolled. Clean and tidy. Good laundry facilities. Great phone signal. Clean showers and toilets. Great location to Cirencester by bus.

Lack of bins. Woman’s showers were too hot. Mens showers ran cold.
