Large bathroom facilities with multiple shower/changing cubicles, toilet cubicles and x2 standalone vanity cubicles. Also has indoor kitchen/cooking facilities and a small shop in reception.
The site is clean and well maintained throughout, both indoors and out. There is also plenty of wildlife around including wild rabbits, which was absolutely wonderful to wake up to!
EHU is well provided and plenty of pitches, grass and/or gravel, and also has static vans and spaces for tents.
Good check-in process with clear instructions and guidance, handy leaflets given after check in with barrier code, map and local tourist sights including how to get into Edinburgh easily!

Showers are push-buttons with short timers, which can be a bit bothersome whilst trying to shower.
Position is slightly let-down by being so near to EDI airport, but this can’t really be addressed!

Toilets/showers very clean and modern.
Nice small shop onsite that did not overprice like most site shops.
Kitchen was clean with a good range of appliances, dinning table,TV, sofa.
Great walks around the campsite.

Very friendly reception. Easy check in and great pitches, no need for levelling chocks on our pitch. The facilities were new, very clean, and spacious. The site was very well managed, had everything you need as well as a security barrier. All we needed for our maiden stop over before starting the NC500

Fantastic site, well run excellent facilities

Non stop load aircraft noise didn't realise it was on the take and landing flight path for Edinburgh very load and every five minutes throughout the night. The road next to the site although a battered back road kept the boy racers busy throughout the night as well so two nights no sleep, so tired and fed up we packed away and left at 5.00 am Sunday morning, hope we didn’t disturb other campers. As much as we liked the site and the excellent facilities we won't be back. If noise doesn't bother you or you sleep in ear plugs great site

Fue una estancia muy agradable , nos atendieron muy bien y el trato de Marc , un trabajador de allí, fue muy atento y paciente , teniendo en cuenta que no hablamos demasiado Inglés . Las instalaciones muy cuidadas y limpias. Lo recomendamos absolutamente.

Spotlessly clean, great showers with excellent hot water supply. The camping kitchen and community room was excellent, well equipped (in fact it was extraordinary in that it had books, dvds, and spare wellies to borrow) and a great place to be.

Review for Linwater Caravan Park – 9/10

We had a fantastic stay at Linwater Caravan Park and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-maintained spot near Edinburgh.

The location is excellent, just a short drive from Edinburgh Airport and conveniently close to Just Go Motorhomes, which made our motorhome drop-off incredibly easy and stress-free.

One of the standout features of the park is the exceptionally clean and modern ablution blocks. You can tell they’re well cared for and regularly maintained – definitely among the best we’ve seen at any caravan park.

The staff were engaging, helpful, and genuinely pleasant, adding a warm and welcoming touch to our stay. Whether it was assistance with check-in or local advice, they were always happy to help.

The park itself is very relaxed, peaceful, and beautifully maintained – a great place to unwind. Everything from the pitches to the communal areas was spotless and thoughtfully laid out.

Overall, a solid 9 out of 10. The quality, cleanliness, and calm atmosphere more than make up for it.

We’d absolutely stay again!

A Refreshing Escape from the Digital World

We recently stayed at Linwater Caravan Park, and overall, it was a truly delightful experience. The park is beautifully maintained, peaceful, and surrounded by the kind of natural beauty that immediately helps you unwind.

There are several options to suit different types of stays — from well-kept touring pitches to more luxurious static caravans and lodges. Everything was clean, quiet, and thoughtfully laid out, making it a perfect spot for couples, families, or anyone just needing a break from the rush of daily life.

One important note for fellow travellers: Wi-Fi is only available in the kitchen/common area — there’s no park-wide connection. Initially, this was a bit of a disappointment, especially in the evenings when you might want to unwind with a film or catch up online. However, we realised what a hidden blessing it was.

Without the usual distractions of streaming services, endless scrolling, we actually ended up talking more — really talking — with each other. Cards came out, conversations flowed, and we reconnected in a way that’s often lost in today’s screen-heavy world. There’s only so many films you can watch in a row.

So while the lack of full Wi-Fi may be a drawback for some, it also creates a unique opportunity to slow down and engage with the people.

All in all, Linwater Caravan Park offers a lovely mix of comfort, nature, and the chance to disconnect — in the best possible way. We’d definitely return (though we might bring a few more board games next time!).
