From a torrid Wales trip week before stumbled upon this lovely site & so glad we did , The owners of the site are very friendly & welcoming , Did not take full use of the site as I did not do any fishing but walking around the lakes made me feel very tranquil. Good clean showers & toilets , will definitely return & have already recommended the site to friends & Family👍

Beautiful campsite. Lovely views across the lakes. Great facilities. Owners were very helpful and welcoming. Pub and restaurant were lovely. Our daughter loved the horse in the next field! We have already recommended Fendicks Fisheries and will definitely be back!

Fantastic clean tidy site with exceptional helpful staff that always made you welcome.
The fishing was fantastic, especially being able to site my Motorhome adjacent to my swim, very helpful if you use the night fishing opportunity.
The site slows fire pits if well kept which was great on night fishing sessions. A new shower and toilet block has been added this year which is very clean and spacious, loads of room to have a shower without getting all your clothes soaked. The cafe “Hubbles” is great and now open 6 days a week, you also must not miss the Sunday roast in the new restaurant, quite a plate full. I nice touch was having a meal with the elderly grandmother who can’t eat big meals now and they were happy for her to have the children’s portion, well done Fendicks, a lot of eating houses won’t allow that, great as you don’t throw away beautiful food.
Overall I can only rate this site as 100% for all amenities, staff, cleanliness and value for money. If you are thinking of booking do check out the Fendicks web site on Facebook as that put on many events in their marquee, next good one being a country & Western weekend.

Nothing to dislike

This was our second trip to Fendicks Fishery. This time we stayed at Daisy cabin. It was lovely, very private. Our 11 year old spent most of his days in the hot tub 😅. Amazing place, great staff, can't recommend high enough!

Ease of setting up near the lake. Caught some half decent fish.

How busy the lake pitches were, as lots of road workers had been placed in prime spots, for working away living digs.

The cafe was also shut for the duration we were there and was one of the main reasons my son wanted to fish there - appreciate they need a day off, but could not find opening times anywhere online.

Not restricted to a particular pitch and allowed to choose our own which spoilt us for choice as the pitches are situated perfectly around the ponds. The site staff were very flexible and helpful allowing us to settle up with them on departure after extending our stay. Facilities were kept clean and serviced regularly making them comfortable to use.

F15s from Lakenheath provided occasional noise but like the RAF, USAF don't appear to work evenings or at weekends which was a bonus.

Great weekend. The pitch was perfect, we were made to feel very welcome. The site has all the amenities you need and the food from the restaurant is exceptional. We would recommend to anyone who wants to go fishing or just relax for a few days.

Shepherds hut (Butterfly) was excellent. Very clean and had everything we needed for our stay, comfy beds, kettle, microwave and electricity were all very welcome.
The cafe was well stocked and gave good portions at a good price.
Site was well kept, tidy and welcoming even to those who were not fishing.
The staff were helpful.
Lake 1 was small in size but held some impressive fighting 10lb carp.

I’d recently broken my foot so was on crutches for the duration. A few more ‘accessible’ features would have been useful in the toilets/showers etc. I managed to find a place to fish on lake 1 which had a low flat bank, apart from that all swims were steep sided banks (absolutely fine for an able bodied angler but temporarily not me).
The anglers bite alarms were a little loud through the night, but earplugs gave a good nights sleep.
Not necessarily a ‘dislike’ but there were very few activities for children on site, just something to bear in mind if travelling with young children, it is a fishery and was generally quiet so a play park would negatively affect the site, but may be good to have something?

Even the weather didn’t spoil our stay. We love this site a little gem. The staff are lovely and very friendly. The food in Hubbles was excellent and the fishing is really good
