Park, toilets and showers, location, cleanliness, very helpful front desk staff

Tony’s Tavern was not functioning to its best, sometimes staff came across as rude, even though they’re happy to take your money for food. Service and quality of food were poor, was told could not do children’s menu, but then other people ordered children’s menu and got the food. When food came it was cold, late and all our food came at different times. I do understand that there were staffing struggles but would have been better to close than take money for poor food and service.

Wonderful site. I don’t think a 4 out of 5 star is fair, really it’s a 4.9 out of 5.

Best bathroom facilities we have seen, massive open pitches, great location, handy having the bar there which we used on the Monday night after a long day travelling and setting up. Plenty of washing up points. Lovely kids play area. Defiantly stay again. Also a campsite with FREE Wifi!!!!

These points are defiantly not (Dislikes) they are more points of refinement to which would make this place a 10/10.

Please can we add soap and hand dryers to the shower blocks? I understand they are a “shower block” but they have a toilet in and children being children will not be washing their hands as they don’t have the ability to do so. I get you can “only lead the horse to water”.

I wish the owners would be more present and enforce the quiet times on the camp. Music until very late, cars coming back at 11pm plus. Kids running around until midnight.

More bins closer to the pitches especially the ones further away. Plenty of other fellow campers leaving litter and food packets on their tables for the birds and rats to have a good go at in the morning and nights. People are just too lazy to walk to the bins, which isn’t the camp sites fault at all.

Bathrooms need to be cleaned more regularly during the day due to the volume of people. Drains blocked in the showers a couple of times.

Showering facilities were fantastic for travelling with younger children. Able to shower and dress all in one room plenty of availability never needing to wait. Tavern was low key great if you wanted to have a drink in the evening and food was also very good. Pitch size was fantastic had large pitch able to fit large tent, gazebo and pup tent with room to spare. Location great for all south Cornwall has to offer and on bus route 5 Min easy walk to the stop. Staff really friendly also with midday check out makes packing up with large family more relaxing

Very windy and foggy (but that is expected close to the sea)

That it was on a bus route and it had a lovely dog walking route.

A couple of mornings going to use the showers to find they were filthy. Think this was due to kids playing in them on the evening. This was a shame as they are beautifully decorated.

Super camping, gastvrij, badkamers erg netjes en lekker eten.

Really lovely welcome to the site from Natalia, who walked us to our pitch (choice of 2, both really spacious and level). My children loved the play park which was great. The facilities are amazing, fabulous shower block - a room with a toilet, shower hairdryer, heated towel rail in each, all different and unique designs. Thought has been put into the design even with a little stool for clothes, bags etc. I never had to queue and always very clean. Loved that there was a sink and drinking water tap near by in the field which was so handy to just fill the kettle etc. Facilities were really very good, 2 freezers for ice blocks etc, a fridge you could store food if you wanted to, washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board, microwave! Honestly so good. A little shop if you needed anything and nothing too much trouble. We had food and quiz night at Tony's Tavern one night which was a very nice place with a friendly relaxed atmosphere. A food van comes to site on a Wednesday and Sunday (I think?) too which is handy. WIFI was strong and worked perfectly, and free!

Unfortunately during our stay there was also a large group who were constantly playing loud music (and I mean LOUD they must have had a sound system - you could hear it from far away). This would be on all the time they were at the site so afternoon, evening and into the night. We have a young family and chose the site for being described as quiet and peaceful. We complained about this group twice during our stay, and were told that they would be spoken to, but nothing changed. We actually left a day early as I had had enough of listening to the noise and couldn't relax. I spoke to Natalia as we were leaving who was hugely apologetic and asked if she could relocate us but we had already de-camped and packed up. She did refund us on our missed night which was appreciated. She explained that they generally do not allow groups. I understand that this is behaviour is not down to the camp owners directly, however feel that more should have been done to manage this group for the benefit of other respectful campers. They had no intention of following noise rules (quiet tvs/music in the day and minimal noise after 10pm) and therefore should have been asked to leave in my opinion. One night music was booming until midnight. Patrols should have been done during the afternoon/evening and told to be quiet at 10pm. This really affected the enjoyment of our stay which is a great shame as it is a lovely site if you are lucky enough to share it with other respectful guests. If not it doesn't seem that much will be done about it unfortunately.
