We found the pub fairly easily to find although the roads in the village were quite narrow in places (I guess they didn't consider motorhome access in the 18th century !)
When we arrived we were greeted by one of the staff, a young lady (sorry, I didn't catch her name) who was very welcoming and friendly. She checked us in and took us to our allocated pitch, pointed out the facilities and even sorted the electric for us. She ensured we were ok with everything before leaving us to get set-up. Excellent service, thank you !
Pitches were level and the site, behind the pub, was quiet and away from the nearby road. The pitches were surrounded by fields so had a very rural feel, and the village itself is lovely with loads of history.
We booked into the pub for an Evening meal, which very good quality and reasonably priced. Service was good, beer was good and well kept too.
The pub has a couple outside seating areas which we would have used if the weather had been warmer. Inside the pub was clean and well decorated, the toilets were modern and clean too.
We would definitely consider this for a future stay, also as a base for exploring the area.

The toilet and shower facilities for the site were situated just behind the pub. They were purpose-built and modern with code access, so secure. Unfortunately, they were in need of some attention when we visited, but as we appeared to be the guests that night and had our own facilities we didn't mention it.

Toilet block was disgusting! Been in a lot of public toilets that are far cleaner. Also the night we stayed it sounded like a race track behind our pitch it was so Noisy. We tried to put in a complaint in the morning but could not even find any staff. We will definitely not be coming back and would suggest looking for another site!

Friendly staff ,Adam was particularly helpful👍, good pub restaurant and excellent service.

No site lighting. Toilets very poor only two in the ladies and one of them is broken

The staff at the Castle Inn are helpful and friendly. The food in the pub was lovely too.

The ladies toilets need a major upgrade. One was out of order and the other one took a longtime to fill up. Everything I went in I had to clean the toilet as it was left in such a state. So not impressed at all.
