Nice site quite a well located, not far from Exeter and Exmouth. Shower block was very nice and well maintained, Reception staff where very friendly and efficient, would stay here again.

The actual pitches could do with weeding made the area look untidy

I liked everything about this place. I paid £18 on a Thursday night in late June. Bargain...... Lovely team, great location for walking, the site was clean and tidy, the facilities were excellent and such a reasonable price. £3 for a washing machine. I usually pay £4. The iron was free on a timer. I don't use a tumble dryer so can't comment. I had an electric pitch with water and grey waste disposal, it was a super large pitch with hard stand and grass to the side. Each pitch was clearly marked and lovely and level. There was a restaurant and bar on site which I didn't use. I really can't fault the place and would definitely recommend it.

Club closed on 2 of the 3 nights we were allowed to stay. We decided to leave a night early as we felt uncomfortable when rowdy travellers arrived on the site. We fully understand why campsite allow travellers to stay on the site and hopefully this will not stop other campers to stay in the future- but we will not be returning

Only stayed for 1 out of the 2 nights we paid for, as it turned out the locals wanted to have an illegal rave at a nearby abandoned building on Woodbury Common, needless to say , by 10 am all bar 1 of the tent pitches had been vacated with the music still blaringnthat morning, ended up booking a hotel a half hour away after having zero sleep. Also travellers had shown up the day previous and were moved on just after we got there, dogs running around off the lead and messing around with their cars performing burnouts etc. Not very family friendly to say the least, and by what the staff had to say it was a common occurrence.

Absolutely everything, 💯 percent. I been going on camping holiday since the 1980s when I was age 10, I remember when campsites had all the facilities , the right atmosphere and friendly owners which filtered down to all the staff members. I felt like this here,

We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived, always treat as a valid guest during our stay to the moment we left,

Facilities-

This site has got the best facilities including more than enough update shower cubicle, which are spacious and always maintained by a hard working team.

The Ladies and Mens washrooms / toilets are separated, always clean and had touch free taps and plenty of sinks.

This site has not only has a Washing up area, for those dishes but also has a separate Laundrette room , which including a Coffee vending machine.

Bar, shop and the Freindly Team -

A bar which served food and a well stocked shop, which was managed by a couple of wonderful receptionists, who were friendly and helpful which filtered all the way down to the whole of the Castle brake team.

The Pitches-

The pitches were all well maintained, with electric points and water taps right by each and every pitch, including night sensor lights.

Surrounding-

We enjoyed this site so much as it was very peaceful and had great countryside views, there are lovely walks to explore and only a short drive to the beaches and Exeter city centre.

Lasting impression-

Been to this site a few times, but in lodges.. the price was excellent, facilities was great, camp area very well kept, friendly lovely staff.

Having to pay for full price swimming at the sister park we haven’t had to pay before.. an was expensive for an hour.
