The plots were a good size and the site was very peaceful. Close to Exeter and Exmouth. All the facilities were really good. Toilet/shower block was very clean and plenty of showers and toilet. The best thing was the under floor heating in the shower block. We will definitely be back.

We stayed on a fully serviced pitch that was level and good size. The facilities were warm (under floor heating) and clean. The showers were the best design I’ve seen on a campsite!
Beautiful walks from the site.No me gustó: Unfortunately, it was obvious in the women’s facilities that it was the end of the busy season (September) Several of the shower cubicles had broken locks and due to a problem with the drains they had an appalling smell.
I reported this to reception and was told that the locks would be seen to and the drainage problem would be addressed over the winter. Hopefully it will be sorted before we no doubt return next year!

Traducir (A través del Traductor Google)Me gustó: We had a good week here. The site was nice, quiet and clean sitea mixture of touring and statics. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Food and drinks lovely in the site bar we enjoyed the quiz night even though we came last! Very well placed for getting out and visiting places around south Devon.
No me gustó: Our only gripe was with the toilet/shower block which wasn't that clean and had the most awful smell of dirty drains/ sewage which was most unpleasant. I did report this to reception but they didn't seem too interested and there didn't appear to be any improvement. Hence we mostly used our own facilities and the toilet by the bar which was clean. We discovered a large skip full of rubbish behind the toilet block which might account for some of the smell. In our opinion this was the only thing that let the site down.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Its great to hear you had a good week, it certainly sounds like you got out and about visiting places around South Devon, and well done on taking part in the quiz night at The Castle Inn! We will pass on your feedback/photos regarding the toilet/shower block and smell to our relevant teams for consideration. We do hope to see you again in 2025.

We are so pleased that you would recommend us, and when you come and stay again, do keep in mind that you can request a lower pitch area . You can be reassured, although we have under 50 static holiday caravans on the park, that even in the height of the season, Castle Brake is still a relaxing woodland holiday place to stay.

Nice hot showers with plenty of water.
We stayed in a standard pod, number 4 if memory serves me right. Good solid bed and table, nice clean working fridge, also it has a small freezer in top, so great for people who enjoy ice cream.
No me gustó: Small problem with water on site, it was milky, I was not notified about this.
Games room, no white cue ball for pool table, £1 lost in finding out.
The other "games" are grabbing claws with toys/sweets.
