Great campsite and a beautiful chateau. Well worth the visit

De camping is echt vergane glorie. Jammer, want ouder sanitair hoeft niet erg te zijn als het maar schoon is en ook werkt. Dat is wel het minste dat je mag verwachten voor €50 euro per nacht.
De eigenaresse heeft ook nog eens 3 euro meer in rekening gebracht dan van te voren was afgesproken.
Niet alle stroompunten werkte en ook de meeste waterpunten werkte niet.
Meest slechte ervaring ooit!

The couple at reception when we arrived were extremely pleasant and helpful, they were expecting us and despite the monsoon like weather they gave us a pitch that had a relatively hard standing to avoid wheel spin. The setting was beautiful even in the pouring rain, if you like trees there are some fantastic specimens. We were only staying for one night en route to the Pyrenees so didn’t have time to explore any further. We went in early July and there were very few other people there so it was nice and quiet. Situated outside the village, it’s position gave it massive potential to see wildlife, we saw wild boar piglets on the road, stoats, lots of birds because of the fantastic trees. The whole site has massive potential and with a few upgrades would be a fantastic stay.

The whole place is a little bit ‘tired’. The sanitary block could do with an upgrade, the urinals appeared to be covered in black plastic bags. The ‘lean to’ at the back of the toilets which held the urinals and chemical toilet disposal looked about ready to collapse. There was a deep hole in the main drive surrounded by barriers that looked like it had been there some time, and presented a real hazard in the dark. Other than ourselves when people arrived it seems to be a free for all to get a pitch, an Italian camper ended up parked on the road rather than a pitch just so they could access electricity, I am guessing these people hadn’t pre booked.

Attractive mature landscape site, v nice pool, good facilities, friendly helpful staff.

Nice location by a Chateau

Unfortunately rain made the pitches unusable but that’s no one’s fault

The setting and location was great.

The site is a little tired and in need of an update particularly the toilets and shower area. Pitches when wet are almost inaccessible.

Een prachtige plek in de tuin van het Chateau ! Nadat wij geen geschikte plaats konden vinden waar de Caravan niet zou wegzakken en wij de camping wilde verlaten, bood de gastvrije Chateau eigenaar ons tenslotte een plek aan op het prachtige grasveld van het Chateau. Hierdoor hebben wij alsnog een goede en fijne overnachting kunnen hebben.

Door de extreme regenval was de camping helaas veranderd in niet begaanbare plaatsen vol met modder en water. Vooral ook heel erg voor de uiterst vriendelijke Chateau eigenaar.

Friendly owner. Close enough to visit Limoges by bicycle but in beautiful countryside
