Peaceful remote location
You could walk to Chelmerton (charming tiny village with pub).
The other way I got to this amazing valley (head on the map towards the stream, note stream dried up), you can cross it to continue the walk- beautiful countryside without having to drive.
Shower! And toilet block, really generous for the cost.

There was a second field, which looked sloped but if you wanted to be away away from people nice to have extra option.
Liked that owner laidback about staying longer/ was old school collecting payment rather than relying on websites.

Honestly, for the price, this pitch was excellent. Really easy to find, incredible views. Spacious fields and the host was lovely. Even gave me a lift to town to pick up my car when I got a taxi back the night before. Facilities were as expected. Plenty of toilets that were regularly cleaned, and a wee shower room with hot water. Not ideal having one shower for busy weeks / weekends I'm sure, but some sites don't even have a shower so it was definitely a bonus. The price was the big seller for me. A lot of sites have put their prices up, but this one was around £35 for 3 x nights which was excellent value for money. Definitely going to be returning.

Oh, and the signal was superb!

The shower room was a great addition but I can imagine one shower room being available during busy periods could be an issue. It was still a bonus to me though.

The scenic views, the walks around the campsite close to Buxton. Peaceful setting

Large field, lovely views, sunsets, no designated pitches,

Dogs being allowed to roam untethered. We were just falling asleep with the back doors to our van open to enjoy the last of the setting sun when a dog pooped right outside - with all the associated smell. To be fair, the owner was apologetic and cleaned up - but it shouldn't have happened

Quiet, affordable and friendly other guests

Toilets weren’t the cleanest (I didn’t use the shower) and the owner wasn’t that friendly.

Clean shower with hot water, easy to find and amazing views, very cheap

A group of loud people that were loud still around 1 am, which made it difficult to sleep.

Perfect location, near to Buxton and on the doorstep of this cute little village called Chelmorton which has a great walk up to the Low on the hill and a lovely pub called the Church Inn.
