No me gustó: Having to wait until. 3pm to pitch up, we got caught in the rain to put our tent up, would have been nice to be able to set up a little earlier when we arrived as our pitch was empty when we arrived. Also shame to restaurant/ bar wasn’t open as it only opens from Friday.

No me gustó: Electric pitch was in the middle of a field inches from the neighbours when there were lots of more suitable free pitches. Also it was quite a slope even using the chocks. Didn’t complain as like I said it was just an overnight. Other campers were upset by the road noise which is quite loud and fairly constant. Didn’t affect us too much as in a campervan but I imagine it would in a tent.

All pitches are measured and marked as 25 ft approx 8 metre.
The reason you were on that pitch was because you may not have been aware there was a very beautiful wedding weekend here . That side of our drive was to be available earlier ( ceremony side) and when your'e booking came in on Saturday for Sunday I was unsure which others on this side and when would be vacated . The top of your field is non electric.
Your'e pitch is frequently requested , and the one next to you,as being so near the rope swing etc so assumed it would be acceptable.
Our delightful bride and groom where here as campers last year and fell in love with the site,
they had extended family staying over the weekend and plan to have many more group bookings in the future, they are still here as like us they can see the beauty of being here.
Traffic.
We are on a 'B' road, not even numbered approx 5 or 6 miles from the coast which bring tourists to the area, increasing traffic movement with of course local people needing to get to work.

Space allowed was good, some sites try to cram too much on for the sake of a few pounds more. Electric hook ups were plentiful. The site was kept clean and tidy as were the shower and toilet facilities which are a little on the basic side but kept clean. We prefer rustic clean to five star filthy. If you are lucky enough to be there on a clear night make the most of the view upwards to the stars, it’s incredible.
No me gustó: Some pitches are on a slope so be sure to take any levelling device you have available……..or buy some! The site is just off a road which can be quite busy and therefore noisy even during the early morning hours.

Great to see the stars.
Clean facilities but unfortunately the building itself was made from building wood which has the intention to look very old and not clean.
But it was cleaned at least twice a day.No me gustó: Wifi reception was at our pitch poor.
Perhaps more facilities for the size of the camping but that seems almost everywhere an issue in England.The bug spider at the ceiling.

We really enjoy meeting up with the campers and having a bit of a chat.
It is a full time job running a farm, wedding venue and camping site along side the catering business, with days starting at 6am. Its a job we love but do have to work within a tight schedule, hence to get things done we have to open the checking in window at 3pm to 7pm but not before. Campers are off site by 12noon and we then need to have a busy 3 hours to get many other things done and to possibly recharge ourselves.
I think you may have misread the opening/closing times as we are open for food
everyday from 8.30am ( except Tuesdays.)
Sunday, Monday,Wednesday closing at 6pm
Thursday, Friday, Saturday closing 10pm.
