No me gustó: Slopped pitches; the pitch we were in, is on a big slope and made for an uncomfortable nights sleep

On your next visit which I hope is not so brief you have time to discover the many facilities & fun things that are available here for all to enjoy, from 9 days old to 90 yrs + we have everyone covered & they come back time and again.

Facilities, good size toilets and showers. Hot water in washing up area. Good location for a trip into Sidmouth and also as a stop of point down to Cornwall. We were in a tent but they also had bell tents and retro caravans which looked nice. There is a shop on site but the day we arrived late after closing time which was a shame for us as it looked well worth a visit. Next time I will plan better to take advantage of it.
No me gustó: The ground for the tent pitches was quite stony after you got in a few inches, not a problem for us as we carry a mallet, but could be a bit of a pain if you dont.

Lovely hosts ,the rope swing and site cat made the kids day ! Will be booking again for longer , price is very fair , 10 mins from supermarkets and really not far from beaches , prefer to be away from all the hussle ,perfect place to relaxNo me gustó: Nothing

Had two meals and both were excellent and good value. The Sunday roast was all fresh produce and yorkshires to die for. I recommend the farm cider.

We had a delicious Sunday roast all home cooked with a traditional desert. Prices very reasonable and the service couldn't have been better. Very charming rustic working farm as you would expect. Plenty of water sites with electric hook ups . Close to the local town and supermarket and also the beaches and of course the beautiful countryside. Nature reserve just down the road and a local pub 5 minutes away. Very dog friendly.

Good morning.
Thank you for your review. It appears you could not understand why we need a time table.
This is a small working farm a multitude of tasks to cover and animals to care for .
Along side this we have a restaurant plus the glamping and camping to run.
Our camp site is here for all to enjoy but we do need time for all the work that
Bovey's Down creates.
Our checking in times are clearly pointed out on the pitch up web page and your booking details.This enables for all things to happen smoothly.
We emailed you the day before your arrival as you had an eta error of 11am as assumed you had over looked reading the booking details. This would eliminate any surprises on arrival giving you the chance to enjoy being somewhere in the area & booking in when the 4 hour check in was open, remembering at that point to ask for WIFI password. The very few early arrivals follow the signs to the overspill cark park and enjoy, or come back this avoids blocking the system, particularly peek times. Farming and camping for us is 7 days a week so being organised is important.

The pitch is quiet and large enough for children to play. The rope swing was a big hit. Such a warm welcome and a lovely time away. Loo blocks are lovely and clean and stocked well. All in all a lovely site.
No me gustó: We were on a slope, understandable with the view, and the kids did slide down a bit over night on their camp beds. But we could have perhaps pitched out tent differently to negate this but once it was up it was up
Good morning, thank you for taking the time to review your stay here.
Regard to the water pressure , we are on the top of a hill with our own supply pumped up 250 metre from the well below, filtered and UV on the way.. A quick word to the staff or owners and a pump would have been put on to help with your needs on the day. We can only help if campers ask the questions..
WIFI is a strangely low mark as we have over £2,500 worth of antenna around the site to enhance the situation.
Hoping we will see you here again one day.
