The whole site. Close to beach and town centre. Obviously your exposed to elements and people who you don't know so that's out of their control. What was in the Parks control was spot on and they had Covid control which was mor than adequate. There was bar open and restaurant unlike what it said on here. You could also order from restaurant and it be brought to your tent 😁. Pool was restricted to about an hour that included change time. No changing room or showers available but that was due to Covid. Really nice cheerful staff who would do anything for you nade you feel at ease.
Good base for me and my 8 year old.

Uneven pitches

Friendly staff, clean site except minority of dog owners who do not bother to clean up. Hot showers any time of day, good covid cleaning in these. Easy walk to beach, dogs allowed on beach so they got plenty of freedom. Also good area for walking dogs opposite entrance. 20 minutes walk to town, plenty of takeaways near town.

Paying extra for a larger pitch to find no one bothers to check where people park,could have stayed on another field and had more room around van. Being next to playground that had rules like closing at dusk but not enforced. Poor state of grass site not level easy to get stuck in mud. Only 4 hard standings. Club beer prices expensive.

Clean faslities, no hassle booking in on arrival, location polite and friendly staff and it only cost £28 for two nights for the two of us.

When booking a spot for swimming wasn't told that you didn't have any change facilities. So we decided not to swim.

The toilet & shower was immaculate, but we were the only ones to use them. Washing up facilities under cover.

We were the only tent on the field. It was extremely water logged. So with a few more campers it would have been horrendous. Neighbours in statics who I presume are there for the season were very loud, bad language & thought they owned the place. Got up one morning to find a bread roll had been thrown in to the side of the tent. It wasn’t us that out it there, the statics were the only people around & it was noticed there was a big gaping hole in the hedge that they used as a shirt cut. Our storm guy ropes had been tampered with & unfastened off the poles which can not possibly have come off by themselves. They are there for a reason & are designed to withstand any kind of winds & gales. Kids were riding round the site on bikes jumping & banging on the portaloos. This was noted to the lady cleaning the toilets who said she would let security know. Never saw anyone patrol or check the site. We got to the stage where we felt uncomfortable so packed up & came home 3 days early.
Never again would we go back to Withernsea sands.
I can not comment on any other facilities as we didn’t use them.
