Camping pod
Liked The pod had plenty of space for me and the dogs, the double bed was very comfortable. You cant beat the location, it is literally a stones throw from the sea ..... it took me about 45 seconds to get from the pod to the beach....its a lovely quiet part of the beach surrounded by nice walks into either whitstable or herne bay, you are half way between the two....the tide goes out so far you can walk and walk and walk on the sand all the way out past the bouys...you get the most amazing sunsets and sunrises ..the water is shallow and clean .. the toilet block was not too far away, there was a massive field directly behind the pod to walk the dogs on. It was very cosy in the evening with the glow of the porch lights on and the door open ....the staff were helpful and welcoming.
Disliked The showers need some updating.... there is a gap down the side of the door so you can see in, also you have to push a button and your shower starts of freezing for the first 2 button presses and you can't avoid the cold water... the button stays on barely no time before needing pressing again, you can bot control the temperature, the clubhouse served a full English breakfast but didn't open till 3pm
The pod really needs a tether point outside it for a dog, it would be so cheap and simple to just put a hook or a ring fixed to the outside wall somewhere and would make such a HUGE difference to your holiday and ability to relax... its a very dog friendly place so it would be good to cater for theirs and other holiday makers safety and relaxation
