Liked Very helpful staff on reception (apologies for our lack of French!), great pitch, busy but relaxed campsite, food in the restaurant was lovely and the staff were super friendly, beautiful lake... Stunning!

Liked This was the only campsite in West Yorkshire that I could find on the dates I was going, so I was very grateful for it. The sound of the river was lovely.

Disliked The photos make it look very spacious but it is essentially a long drive on someone's land. I got nowhere when trying to ask questions about extending my stay over the phone, by email I was told to pay on arrival but there's no reception and was told someone would come and see me at the pitch but they didn't (I just extended my stay at the next site in the end!), so not much customer service there - which was so weird as the couple working there that I met on my last morning were absolutely lovely!! Only two toilets / showers which were pretty grubby - I know exactly who was making the mess but I could see these weren't cleaned daily.

Liked We had a lovely time over Christmas in the park, It's in a great location, lots of pubs in the area and close to the sea. The facilities were great, the bathroom/shower rooms were spotless (and no looking up to see a decade's worth of spider webs!). The wifi and electricity worked perfectly, and we didn't have a hose to use the water on our pitch but there was a water point for campers on site too so that was handy. It had everything we needed! We had lost our hose attachment and the warden was kind enough to give us one he had spare (we think his name was Nathan but we could be misremembering!) - he was so kind and helpful! Also like that you didn't have to pay to use the hairdryer! I didn't use it but I was glad to see I wouldn't need to go on a hunt for a 50p

Disliked The only thing that was my partner said in the men's showers they didn't have as many hooks, or a seat to put your stuff on (I was very happy with the amount of hooks in the female showers - it's always impossible to put your clothes and things somewhere they won't get wet on a campsite!)

Liked The staff here are all so lovely and friendly and really helpful! The site is nice, the pitches are a good size. I had a fully serviced pitch which was luxury! Not having to move the van around when I needed to top up the water was so nice. The vending machines are a nice touch, I didn't use them as I was only staying a couple of days but they're very handy. The shower room/toilets were so clean, rare to find a campsite bathroom that isn't absolutely covered in spider webs 😂 The WiFi worked well, not sure WiFi that was because I was near reception though. Farm shop a road the road was nice, and the local pub was lovely too

Liked The staff here were lovely, easy check in. Loved the pizza van on Saturday night. Worth the 45 mins wait 😂 The site is great. Looked super busy but it wasn't rowdy at all, nice and peaceful. Right next to a lake and the creek and a short walk to the beach, the location is great. I would definitely stay here again
