Liked Was close to Cheviot hills One member of staff was helpful in directing us to a swimming pool 20mins drive away as the site pool was fully booked for all of our stay.

Disliked Pitches were very close together and the facilities were among the worst we have seen. The showers were mouldy and overflowed into the toilets so you were paddling through other people’s shower water when using the toilet. The showers were so small it was impossible to keep clothes dry or to help a child to shower. We stayed for three nights and the pool was fully booked for all of our stay so we couldn’t swim. We tried to get food at 8pm (they serve until 9) but were told they had run out of everything. Really disappointing stay. We hoped to have relaxing evenings, swimming and eating on site after a days walking but it was quite the opposite, with such run down facilities, we couldn’t wait to move on.

However, we’re genuinely sorry that so many aspects of your stay fell short of expectations. We appreciate how disappointing it must have been to find the swimming pool fully booked throughout your stay, particularly when swimming was part of your plans. We’re also very concerned by your comments regarding the showers, toilets and general condition of the facilities, as this is certainly not the standard we aim to provide. We’re equally sorry that you were unable to get food when you visited at 8pm. Running out of menu items while we were still advertising food service is understandably frustrating, and we’ll be reviewing this with the team. Liked The play area in the middle of the field was great. I could keep an eye on child while in the van. Close to railway line. Child loved this and the noise wasn’t a problem.

Disliked Could do with more showers and toilets.

Liked Staff were very friendly and helpful. The pitch was lovely and flat so we had a great sleep. Views from the site were so beautiful and it was great to have the adventure farm on site which was included in the price. We had a lovely weekend.
