This was our first camping experience and we had a lovely time and will definitely be going back. We were given a choice of available pitches and we chose a very pretty private pitch with lots of space for the two of us. The hosts Ken and Sonya were lovely and very welcoming, they made us feel very comfortable during our stay respecting privacy but also inviting us to join them round the campfire or for events. The toilets were a new experience but felt clean and comfortable. We will be going back!

Absolutely loved this place!
Beautiful surroundings and really friendly owners.
The tent pitches where really spacious and well away from everyone else so you felt like you had your own part of the woods.
Can't recommend it enough and can't wait to come back!!

They have like private pitches, with their own BBQ and some of them with an hamaca.
If you want privacy you will get it. If you like more community you can have it in the more open pitches.
You are surrender by trees so it feels like wild camping.
They have toilets and fresh water. You can buy logs for fire or BBQ.
They have some boards games made of wood.
All and all just perfect with our 7 years old daughter

Amazing wild camping site, lovely peaceful woodland pitches perfect for my hammock. Ken was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Great location would definitely recommend and will stay here again.

This trip was our first experience camping, and I can't think of a better place to start than Stuart's Wood. We had our own little clearing (called Stuart's Return) to pitch up in and it really did feel like you were in the middle of the forest. Ken and Sonya did an incredible job at balancing the feeling of wild camping with a managed campsite. Everyone was very respectful and kept the noise down after 10pm, so all you are left with is the sounds of the forest as you fall asleep.

Ken and Sonya are the absolute perfect hosts - always there if you need them but otherwise they leave you to crack on. They even came around with bug spray for everyone to keep the gnats away in the evening. They're very knowledgeable about the local area and had some great suggestions for walks and pubs to stop off at. This entire project is a clear labour of love for them both and it shows.

The toilets were kept absolutely spotless, as was all of the communal areas, and if anyone who had stayed on our patch before we arrived had left any mess, you wouldn't have known it. The site also has clean running water.

The location itself is excellent too, easy to access and close to Stock where there are some excellent pubs and restaurants.

Thanks Ken and Sonya for making our first camping trip unforgettable.

Absolutely nothing - the place was perfect!

Lovely and peaceful eco campsite in a nice Oak wood. Perfect first night camping for my 3 year old. Communal bonfire pit. There are compost toilets and fresh water on tap, good bridge for those looking to eventually go wild camping.
