Quiet location, helpful staff, clean and well maintained facilities

Very steep hill from tent pitch to facilities. No proper path just grass

Facilities were superb. Showers amazing. Always clean. First time on a fully serviced pitch and was very good.

No recycling facilities apart from glass. We took our plastic and paper/card recycling home.

Level tent pitches. Lovely scenery and walks. Very quiet, remote location.

The tent pitch field is at the back of the site and at the top of the hill. The toilet facilities were a trek down the hill at the main barn, which was tough on the knees. It could do with a small toilet block, or even portaloos, at the top of the site.

Arrival simple, friendly warm welcome. Pick pitch then just let reception know later. Clean facilities. Restaurant/bar on site, lovely staff and plenty of choice for two fussy eaters.

Unfortunately campers from up the hill thought it fine to walk across lower pitches on their way to the loos. Not managements fault, just inconsiderate people to lazy to follow path and taking shortcuts.

Lovely clean campsite, large pictures, very clean facilities. Nice see private all in one shower rooms with toilet and sink included so you can have just a strip wash.

Used the restaurant on site twice. Lovely atmosphere excellent food and the Friday steak night excellent value. Staff very polite, friendly and efficient. Run off their feet on extremely hot days. Dogs also welcome.

We were not made aware of the rather steep hill up to the grass pitches until 2 days to go and even then not how steep it was. This was a bit of a trek to the shower block/toilets for us and in the heat was made worse.

Although the site welcomes tents it does not accommodate them easily as all the hard pitches are close to all the amenities. Perhaps consideration for a shower or even just toilet block in the field behind the grass pitches would be a good idea. Would be good for the fishermen too.

There are fields behind the grass pictures which could perhaps have a dog run on it as have other camp sites we have found very useful and great for the dogs.

We did enjoy our stay very relaxing although the warden perhaps does need to remind guests about playing music too loud but we would probably not use again due to the steep hill.

Our first adult only camp site - definitely the way forward, it was so quiet and peaceful. Great staff, just drove around and chose our pitch. Huge pitches, with electricity and water. Lovely private washrooms, clean and modern. We didn't eat at the restaurant but did have few drinks which was very pleasant. Located in the countryside, beautiful lake and nice walk around the site with the dogs. Beautiful villages nearby a visit to St Ives and Cambridge is a must.
A fab site, loved every minute of our stay with our 2 dogs!

The only criticism we have is that it is a dog friendly place, but no dog waste bins on site? Maybe that is something that could be added in the future!

Relaxed and quiet site. Abundant carp and roach in the pond.
