Everything about the place was lovely ,Staff very helpful ,chickens very friendly and the ugly duck also very friendly, lovely relaxing fishing on the river, recommend the eggs, lovely, will be back.

Beautiful well kept site. Facilities were modern and clean. Had a lovely wee burn running through the middle, good for dog walks in surrounding areas too. Would definitely return again.

We had a great time! We arrived and checked in with the Housekeeper Debbie and her hubby, they made us feel really welcome, told us about the site and gave us a map with our fully serviced pitch marked on it. The pitches were well set out, we'd read about not being able to park cars next to the caravan & awning, but this wasn't an issue - there was plenty of room to park in front. The loos & showers were clean and fresh with plenty of supplies. There was also an outdoor washing up area and laundry room available too. Our dog was welcomed too, he made a lot of friends! The resident Muscovy Duck visited us most days and the chickens were just lovely too. The site is near the main road, which made finding the location very easy. The sound of traffic was just background noise and not constant, it certainly didn't affect our stay. WiFi could be hit and miss, but was good enough for us to check the local area online and plan our days, when needed.
We'll definitely be back, it was a great base for a week whilst visiting Scotland from Norfolk. Thank you!

The site was very clean. Toilet and shower block fantastic. The owner Gus very thoughtful and helpful.
An excellent base to explore the area. We never used the WiFi, we were happy to just enjoy the area without technology this weekend.

Location of pitch, level ground, stream next to pitch, fully serviced pitch, Wi-Fi was good at pitch/unit, toilets/showers and scullery close by,
Not too big of a camp site, showers/toilets clean

Temperature of the showers not hot enough, temperature of the water for washing pots in the scullery not hot enough, no where to sit in shower cubicles, shower curtain didn’t prevent the changing area in the cubical from getting wet, showers were push button operated and lasted about 20 seconds a press, roaming chickens which my dog wanted to kill was a real pain,

We liked the warm welcome and the choice of pitches. The facilities were well kept and the free range hens kept us entertained too! Riverside location was also a great bonus.

Nothing

Everything was awful. Arrived after a long drive to find reception closed. Called the number on the door and a man appeared 5 minutes later. He never said welcome or anything. Given our pitch number.
Now the pitches were supposedly super pitches, no way. The caravan was sticking out, only just enough room for our canopy, God knows where the car was meant to go. We had to park across the front of the pitch. We could not access the water or waste water as they were on the other side of the pitch. If we parked the caravan to get access, then we would have been about two feet off the next caravan.
Things got worse the second day as they let the chickens out to roam all over the site. We have two Jack Russells who are used to playing with our chickens at home. Needless to say they wanted to play with them. Our two Jacks had to be put in the caravan and we had to close the blinds to calm them down. One of our Jacks was really worked up.
Surely the customers come before letting the chickens out. Other dogs were getting upset too.
Luckily there were no campers behind us as they would have been about six inches from our bedroom window.
This is the worst site I have ever been on in many years of caravanning.
I cannot believe the positive reviews, the owner must have got his friends to write them.
If you read reviews, which I always do please take note of this one.
We will never return here.

Immaculate site, really well maintained. Nice mix of different users. Pleasant and welcoming staff upon arrival.
Washing and shower block was really clean and hygienic.
Easy access to the river for some great fishing with friendly free range hens spectating.
