Liked: Very quick and easy sign in to the campsite and was allowed to choose where we pitched up. The whole site is nice and flat so no worries about being pitched up on a bit of a hill. The surroundings of the site are amazing as you are right in the valley and next to a river that you can get in. There were people with inflatable boats going down the river, so if you have kids that looked like so much fun. You could hire fire pits and get wood and kindling all at a decent price which was great. It is a no frills site but the showers were good enough, clean and hot.
Disliked: The grass was a little long, would have like it if it'd been cut a bit shorter as it made it difficult to play ball games with the kids. There's not really any rules on site and there were lots of younger campers that were up quite late making noise, however that was minimal and didn't affect us that much.

Liked: The views! Wow, we had such a wonderful weekend, Ruby was so lovely & welcoming, site basic but that's what you want when you're camping! Clean, showers & toilets great & fresh running water.
We all had an absolutely great time and will be back!Disliked: –

Liked: Beautiful location, Catbells just a short walk and 5 mins to a gorgeous pub.
Facilities were kept nice and clean and the showers were great too.
The campsite is not too overcrowded.

Liked: Close proximity to Lake and river great views.
Disliked: The shortage of water supply in the morning in the bathroom tap (was quickly resolved) and wasn’t particularly affected as could use one of the taps outside the toilets to collect water.

Toilets are filthy showers are filthy .
Camp.site in the middle of no where this only farm land around so the only part to explore is the road.Disliked: Won't be going here again I paid for 5 days I left the 2nd day

Really sorry to hear you think we are in the middle of no where, we are based at the bottom of Catbells and there is a pub a 2 minute walk up the road.
Theres lots to explore round the area theres water sports at Nichol End Marina, or Derwent marina which is literally a 5 minute drive or a 10 minute drive to Whinlatter Forrest for a Go Ape experience.
We are sorry the toilets and showers werent up to your standard but they are cleaned regularly.
I think the site your looking for is more of a commercial site.
