Peaceful family park where children can make friends and play safely. Excellent toilet facilities that are kept clean. The warden is friendly and approachable.

This little campsite is clean, quiet and ideal either for a one night stay or longer. Located in a small village that is steeped in history and has a number of local walks with some spectacular views of the sea and surrounding hills. A short walk to a couple of pubs that offer food is perfect. As well as a local Spar for those forgotten items you may need.

Wasn’t much to dislike, just a bit of advice if you have a awning and have booked on the hard standing and gravel you need the right tent pegs for hard surfaces. We didn’t but very day is a learning day 😊

We have been staying at Anwoth for 10 years but I have never used the washrooms- they were very clean & functional.

Very busy - but it was gala week.

To be honest everything about the park was great. The pitch was large, the location being just a couple of minutes from the town was ideal, the staff were great and the shower block was spotless.

Poor WIFi, in this day and and age wifi is now a given.

I enjoyed my visit rot Anwoth last year and returned this year to attend the Arts and Craft Fair at nearby Kirkcudbright. This site is a convenient base for exploring the coast of Galloway with beautiful nearby beaches. The site is small and I found it a quiet place to chill after a day exploring. The site is near the centre of Gatehouse of Fleet, you can walk to the Visitors Centre where you can find out interesting history of the area, view local arts and crafts, browse through an amazing collection of books or just have a coffee on the patio overlooking the river. There are shops, great restaurants and lovely walks. The facilities are adequate and clean and the Manager is friendly and usually around if help is needed.
Check out the Gatehouse of Fleet old railway station located just a few miles from the centre where the views are spectacular especially from the old railway viaduct.

I am not fond of gravel pitches. The site has mostly grass pitches with some gravel, I would suggest booking early to secure your preference.

run around and make friends. Friendly helpful warden, who was there to meet us when we arrived late!! 5min walk into village with local spar with everything we needed. Clean toilet block with showers and even a bath!!

WiFi no best but who really wants it on holiday .
