Liked: Fantastic weekend away with friends If you want an escape from the rat race to just relax then this is the site to choose we had electric pitches which is massive and comes with a cool washing up area and drinking water tap. the toilet and shower block are very nice and clean with plenty of hot water each pit comes with a fire pit as well as bins for all your rubbish a few pointers for anyone thinking of booking these are not negatives just pointers.
Its not a holiday park so don’t be expecting activities or lots of amenities (take games)
You will need a torch as toilet block does not have lighting
Shower block steps are extremely steep if you have mobility issues may be an issue
If you have a chemical toilet there is no chemical waste points on site (we just used site toilets instead)
No Wi-Fi and even phone signal is not great bear in mind your in the countrysideDisliked: What’s not to like

Disliked: The dog barking late at night and early morning waking me up.The creepy bus an absolutely no lighting on site.Only one other person there camping yet the bins were full and toilets dirty.No one there just a text to say where to park.

Liked: Just finished my second stay at 5 Acres, it's definitely one of the nicest sites in the area and I know I'll be back again. The pitches are spacious, the facilities are clean and the surroundings are lovely and peaceful.

Liked: Lovely quiet campsite, facilities were very clean and lots of areas around the field to get water. We really loved watching all the butterflies in the wild fields and the pathway through them to get to the facilities.

Sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. We aren't used to getting such a bad review so difficult not to respond unemotionally.
You booked a non electric pitch one hour before you arrived. We responded to your booking immediately and gave you directions and a choice of any of the non electric pitches. You decided you didn't want to do that and set up on an electric pitch and the tell us what you had done after you had set up. Not really fair on us and we had to take it on trust that you didn't use the hook up.
We weren't on site to meet you because we weren't expecting arrivals that day. We occasionally need to go out.
Toilets are checked ever day so don't understand the issue. They can be messy with grass cuttings but not dirty.
Bins are sometimes left if the pitch isn't going to be used immediately. You set up on pitch that had just been vacated and was not going to be used until the following day.
We try to be wildlife friendly so no lights.
We don't offer WIFI so a bit harsh to score us on that.
Not child friendly; if you wanted children's entertainment and playgrounds, then you shouldn't have booked with us. We clearly don't offer that. If you want activities etc, maybe look before you book.
Bertie the bus is not creepy.
Benny the dog is a new rescue and is getting used to people, so we'll accept that criticism and we are trying to train him and he's getting better.
