Kingswood Campsite

Great site and staff

This place is heaven. Easy to find, signs brought you in and well-marked once in camp. GPS, worked right up to the front gate. There is WiFi in the main barn, phone service basically weak. But that's what you get away for right?
Staff was pleasant & available enough yet unobtrusive, all the current social distancing and sanitation in place. Latrines place strategically, common pavillions if you needed them. A gorgeous bathhouse above and more showers & real restroom in the main barn.
Just enough " roughing it" but still amenities. Many there have been visiting for decades, this is an amazing place.
The camp was basically quiet now, as towards the end of Aug people are concerned with their children and school. So that was especially nice. Dog friendly. Felt very safe traveling solo.
The scenery is breathtaking in the special spot, nestled between the PA Deleware Valley and the NY Catskills. Will return.

Great little camp area with friendly people.

It has been thirty years since I last stayed at Kingswood. It was awesome to see the changes made throughout the camp! The sites are well-equipped and spread out. Even in the midst of COVID-19 (the camp has taken excellent precautions) there was lots to do: free boating, swimming, plenty of board games, hay rides, even a chance to help build a stone church! The staff was very hospitable and welcoming.

Wish there had been longer swimming hours.

It’s calm here, no cell phone or internet, unless you need it, being a constant distraction. Instead it’s acres of woods to hike through, or places to sit and let the cares of this world waft away on the breeze.

Can’t stay here all year

The people were so very friendly here. The sites were all well kept. There was plenty of activities for the kids and many things to borrow from the barn. I also saw their equipped sites, which I have never saw before. Love them and would definitely head back in the fall when I dont have to swim in the pond :D

I wasnt a huge fan of pond swimming, although it was well kept. Also, this was a dry camp and it would have been nice to have a glass of wine or something. I wasnt really aware of that, but my fault for not reading properly.

The site was wide open, allowing us to come in after dark and still manage to back the camper into place.

The site we chose was so unlevel that when we parked it was 5 degrees higher in the front and after doing all I could, I could only get it to go down to 3 degrees.

Nicely kept grounds friendly staff great optional programs.

It rained but there was a pavilion that you could use that we did use. No signal at tents but camping is to get away.

Everyone was so friendly. We were just there for one night but we were invited to an ice cream social held for the whole campground where we cranked ice cream makers to make homemade ice cream. Had wonderful conversations with the church volunteers who manage the campground. And the site was wonderfully private with lots of woods and a little outhouse in the woods as well as a nearby full bathhouse. Great fire pit, platform for the tent, picnic table - fantastic. There was also a beach but we got there too late to swim and it rained the next morning so we left. Big community barn with puzzles and books if we had decided to stay.

Not great for views, although other sites might have had them.
