Liking the sound of a Turkish glampsite tucked under a canopy of trees? Time to book in at Sens Bungalows, found in an expansive forest of oaks and red-barked pines – a landscape that is both peaceful and stunning whatever the season. Accommodation comes in wooden cabins, all with unusual décor and design, double beds, a kitchenette and ensuite bathrooms plus a small outdoor space to call your own.
At five minutes’ drive from the market at Kızılağaç and half an hour by car from the pristine beaches of Antalya, the site teems with wildlife – you can often spot squirrels playing in the trees and see rare purple orchids flowering across the property. Guests can also entertain themselves with basketball, ping pong, pétanque, table football and an assortment of board games, or simply snooze in a hammock under the shade of the rustling trees.
Doubling as a social hub, the soul of the place is undoubtedly the chilled café with cosy seating and cushions, which will see you through the day with good coffee and a traditional Turkish breakfast, a plentiful supply of snacks and delicious fixed-price lunch or dinner menus.

Local attractions
A day on the beach will surely be called for when you stay at Sens Bungalows, and you have plenty of options. Head south to the clear turquoise waters around Kaş (half an hour’s drive) and you have the pick of Büyükçakıl (popular and backed by pink-tinged cliffs), family-friendly Kaş Belediyesi Halk (with sun loungers, a playground and dive platforms) or Akçagerme (with a sprinkling of beach restaurants).
While you’re down on the coast, you might like to visit the spectacular Lycian Rock-Cut Tombs of Myra (45 minutes), hewn from a vertical cliff face in the fourth century BC. If you’re feeling keen, clamber up to the relics at Heroon of Trysa (50 minutes) to see marble tombs and faded frescoes in a gently crumbling temple. Close by, you can gen up on Antalyan heritage at the Lycian Civilization Museum (also 50 minutes).
Combine culture with a day in the sun by taking a boat trip from Ucagiz (45 minutes) to Kekova, a small island liberally blessed with underwater ruins that were destroyed in a second-century earthquake as well as small bays like Karaloz, where you can snorkel and swim to your heart’s content.
