What customers say

Great spot near Monfragüe, with friendly staff. Ablutions are spotless. Pool and restaurant enjoyed, though restaurant has limited hours. Pitches are mostly fine, but some found them small/uneven. A few noted Wi-Fi issues and general tidying needed.

Electric hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked What a beautiful area!
The pitch was a grass pitch as stated. Everything was clean. The showers were phenomenal. They also have a decent washing machine and dryer which I wish we had used because everywhere else we stayed were basic.
There are two pools and a little kiosk. The big pool was freezing! Even in the height of summer.
There's also s little park for the kids.
We are dinner at the restaurant abd had probably the best salad I've ever had.

Electric hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked Olga on reception was lovely and friendly and very helpful with information on surrounding area.
Toilet and shower block nice and clean. Decent meal in restaurant, although we were the only couple in there. Carlos the waiter was friendly.
Nice swimming pool, although we were told to take our glasses off to go in.

Disliked The actual site looked like an open derelict patch of land, that has been abandoned, neglected and in a state of disrepair. There were about a dozen old touring caravans on the site, which were lived in and had obviously been pitched there for years. They looked so run down, we first thought they had been dumped and abandoned. The rest of the site was empty apart from us and 2 others motorhomes. The ground was no way suitable for parking, due to the uneven levels, pot holes and rough ground. There was old plant machinery left on the site making it look more like an abandoned building site. This site needs a lot of time and money spent on it for it to work, and remove all the old derelict looking caravans. We booked for 3 nights but left after one night.

Electric hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked Location location location! Great restuaurant, (not open Wednesdays) small shop with limited options but had what we needed, friendly staff with good english when we couldn't manage Spanish and a nice swimming pool. Washrooms were exemplary. There were fine bike rides to be had, and of course the wildlife centre next door is a gem. Vulture watching is a must.

Disliked Nothing

Local attractions

Make a beeline for the Monfragüe National Park if you’re after alfresco times – get your boots on and take to the hiking trails, or sign up for guided tours in Malpartida de Plasencia. Horse riding days, off-road drives and guided hikes are all popular picks, as are photo-snapping safaris and specialist birdwatching tours (vultures, imperial eagles and black storks are all out there to be spotted). Up for a bit of urban activity instead? Medieval Plasencia, 15 minutes away, is well worth a wander: a fair chunk of the original walls (built back in 1198) still stand strong, and there’s much to visit within those walls. The pretty Palace of Mirabel, Convent of San Vincente Ferrer and two cathedrals, built right next to each other, are some of the top sights. If you’re after more town times, try UNESCO-listed Cáceres (50 minutes’ drive) for another eye-opening Old Town; for more rural rambles, it’s about the same length of drive to the Jerte Valley and gorgeous natural sights like the Nogaledas waterfalls.
