  • Family-run campsite a short walk from the beach
  • Near a pine forest
  • Two pools, green sunbathing space and bar-restaurant
A quiet Venetian holiday only a short stroll from some Venetian sands? Have it at family-run Camping Parco Capraro, in a pine forest a few hundred metres from a golden sandy beach (with bar) and shallow Adriatic waters for safe family splashing. The seaside resort – and 15 kilometres more beach – are a short drive away and from here it's easy to get to the biggies of the Venetian region in Venice and Treviso. Parco Capraro is a fully-equipped holiday village, set up for days of activity and peaceful hours for all ages at its two lifeguarded pools (one smaller and shallower to suit kids), the big green space with sun loungers for sun lounging, the playground and the bar-restaurant serving pizza and other Italian cuisine (do try the Spaghetti allo scoglio…) Shows, events and other activities are arranged in high season for all. Camping Parco Capraro's modern amenities include a toilet block with showers, disabled facilities and a washing-up area.

What customers say

Well-kept site, top pool & entertainment. Forest path to beach (10 min walk). Staff are super friendly, facilities clean. Dated but clean ablutions. Great for families, lots for kids. Some pay-for extras mentioned.

Luce Park electric grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked It's not a terrible site, it has a nice pool area which is manned by two lifeguards who stop things like ball games in the pool along with inflatables which gives you more of a chance of actually being able to swim though the pool is understandably busy. You do have to pay for sunbeds, but we felt that €6 was reasonable for a day's use (though is free in lots of other places). The pitches are quite tight, but were reasonable.

The showers and toilets were very clean.

The majority of staff were helpful, especially Francesco on reception/information who helped my husband who had an issue with our campervan.

The beach is a nice walk through the woods and it is a really nice beach with lots of sun loungers and also areas for you to put down a towel. The sea is clear and really nice.

There is an amazing restaurant down the road called Bucca di Bacco which is a family run business who served home cooked recipes which are delicious and the pricing is very reasonable.

Disliked The reason that I would probably not return is the rules which I feel are outdated.

There is 'quiet time' between 1pm and 3pm. During this time the pool closes, you are unable to set up if you arrive during this time, kids are not allowed to play in the park area during this time. I feel that this is disruptive to families who are looking for their children to have fun during the day. The whole point of being on holiday is to relax and have fun and I feel that rules like this discourage that.

When we were there it was extremely hot and my husband was suffering with a skin irritation called prickly heat. Wearing T shirts aggravated him. We were not allowed to get coffee at the cafe due to him not wearing a T shirt. He was also asked to put it on in the supermarket. I would understand this under normal circumstances - but we were on a pool/beach holiday during the day. I don't think this should be an issue. It is not as if my husband would sit down inside in a restaurant without the correct attire, but during the daytime in a casual cafe I do not believe he should be scalded like a child for not wearing a shirt. We also felt that the bar/restaurant while nice (when not being told off) and with nice food - was overpriced compared to local eateries.

We felt that having to pay for tokens for hot water was also unusual and had travelled in other parts of Italy where this was not the case.

Some of the staff felt to be quite intolerant, mainly the lifeguard with the bald head and the older lady in the restaurant. It felt like they were not very welcoming of the guests that received which is a shame. But having said that maybe we caught them on a bad days.

The camp has the potential to be great, but we just don't like places where we feel that we are being told how to holiday.

Luce Park electric grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch

Určitě jsme v tomto kempu nebyli naposledy.
Doporučujeme kemp navštívit pro krásnou a klidnou dovolenou.

Luce Park electric grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch

Fully-serviced grass and earth pitch

Liked Mindenki nagyon kedves volt es elozekeny. A terulet nagyon arnyas es tiszta. Nagyon jo hangulata van.

Disliked A vizesblokk tisztasaga, szinvonala alacsony. Raadasul a wi-fi is fizetos!!! Ilyet sehol mem lattam meg. A tengerpart nem egy"kohajintasra" van! Legalabb 10 perc seta cuccokkal.

Local attractions

Reach the local beach via a pathway through a pine forest, for days at its sands, sun loungers and bar – and ask for a Camping Parco Capraro guest discount when hiring sun loungers. If you've brought your canine with you, a dog-friendly beach is at Cortellazzo, about a kilometre away and easy to get to by bus. And then – Venice. (And if you've brought your dog, the site offers a dog-sitting service to keep canines safe and happy while you're doing your thing in the city.) Get to Venice by ferry to wander around its lagoons and bridges, and from there have another day around its famed islands Murano, Burano and Torcello. Also well worth a look/highly recommended is a boat trip along the Riviera del Brenta, to see the increasingly grand old villas (Venetian noblemen got a tad competitve when building these), and a day around the Valdobbiadene valley, the Italian region responsible for bubbly Prosecco.
