General
- In the Laghi di Avigliana Nature Park, 9km from Sacra di San Michele
- A 35-minute drive from Turin
- Restaurant, pool, play area and bar
You'll find a mega friendly team at Camping Avigliana Lacs near the town of Avigliana in the Piedmont region – and a mega splendid setting too, as the site is greenly set in the Laghi di Avigliana Nature Park and is 35 minutes from the shops and restaurants of regional capital Turin. Have a stay here to delve into the best of Piedmont culture and cuisine, stop off on the way to southern Italy or France, or just settle down and chill among the peace and quiet…
They're a friendly and helpful bunch in the site restaurant too, ready to sizzle up all manner of traditional and tasty Piedmont recipes: perhaps try the bagna càuda, just the ticket in which to dip a handful of porcini mushrooms? The restaurant – and bar – are open all year.
Camping Avigliana Lacs has a pool, open from June to September, three modern toilet and shower blocks, a play area and free wifi. Bike hire is available.
The site has been under new management since March 2019.

Local attractions
The medieval city centre of Avigliana is two kilometres from the site and easily accessible by foot or pedal. Also close by is the stunning spot of the Sacra di San Michele, the 10th-century abbey on the top of Mount Pirchiriano that's one of the best known sights of the Piedmont region: go see.
Next up should be Turin, another stunning spot and filled with sights to see and culture to soak up as well as Piedmont cuisine and wines to sample/guzzle. Among its many splendid sights and hangouts are the squares of Vittorio Veneto, Castello and San Carlo; the city's many galleries including San Federico and Subalpina; the Museo Egizio Egyptian museum, and botanic gardens and Valentino Park, accessible via a scenic stroll by the Po river.
More splendid sights are around the province to keep sightseers busy for weeks: among the top picks are the cobbled streets of truffle town Alba, and the vineyards between Benevello and Castiglione Tinella, famed for their Barolo reds.

I am the Director of the campsite with which you spoke and we have made ourselves available to guarantee you a one-night stay, but what can the campsite do about rudeness and tourists and people staying at the campsite.
I was woken up at 5am and immediately intervened and at 8am we turned away tourists who did not sleep.
Ours is a small campsite where it is possible to be calm and serene but that you make us responsible for the rudeness of others I am sorry but I do not accept it.
The bathrooms have been renovated and improved, the people are dirty and do not clean, we put a person in the bathroom, camping and expensive ... we just can't take it anymore
This type of review damages those who work seriously, it can no longer be done
