Located on the outskirts of the friendly Hungarian village Erdõtarcsa, this family-friendly campsite, run by the Dutch owners Sylvia and Paulus Van Melsen, is an ideal base for whoever wants to explore the nearby mountains and enjoy a rural break.
On site you will find a restaurant so you don't have to worry about cooking all the time, a fresh bread delivery service for your breakfast and a small swimming pool to chill out after a day going up and down the mountains. There are also a clean facilities block with free hot showers and toilets and wifi around the reception area.
Less than 57 kilometres away from Budapest centre and at the foot of the Cserhát and the Mátra Mountains, the area has an amazing potential for outdoor activities. It is heaven to any hiker or cyclist craving for altitude. There is also an equestrian school on site, if you would rather experience the Hungarian hospitality, tradition and landscape on the back of a horse.

Near the site, go spend the day at the Oxigen Adrenaline Leisure Centre equipped with bobsled track, zip line, climbing wall, quad courses and bridge suspension, perfect to guarantee you extreme sensations. You might reconsider this option if you are scared of height.
