Local attractions
If you find a bit of time to get away from the pool and activity programme, hire bikes on site to head out on the local cycle paths running along the coast, through the woods or out into the marshes a little way inland. You may also like to stop at the mini golf course a few minutes away for a fun round or two.
For other activities, there’s horse riding and quad biking a couple of kilometres away, and plenty of watersports to try out in Saint-Jean-de-Monts (10 minutes’ drive away). Youpla Land amusement park and the Atlantic Toboggan waterpark are both a couple of kilometres away for easy days out within cycling distance.
You might also like to think about getting up into the treetop trails at Feeling Forest (five minutes’ drive) or pedalling your way along the old railway line at the Vélo-Rail (20 minutes). A little further afield, there are great days out to be had at Le Grand Défi activity park (half an hour) or the excellent Puy du Fou theme park (an hour and a quarter).
