A neat, vast campsite in stunning, tranquil surrounds with welcoming, helpful staff. Guests loved the roomy pitches, brilliant and spotless facilities, and pool. The lakes and natural vibe are definite pluses. Some thought bar prices were steep, and few specific activities for French kids, but it's a solid site overall.

Liked Nous avons tout aimé, nous étions en camping-car, 2 adultes et 2 ados, on nous a proposé de choisir notre emplacement, le personnel était très sympathique et serviable, les sanitaires très propres, la piscine et les toboggans super, le petit restaurant très bien, les appareils de fitness... Rien à redire à ce camping qui mérite ses 4 étoiles !

Liked Very friendly team, lovely surroundings. Nice bar and restaurant- a bit expensive for what you get but we tend to cook for ourselves usually. Menu obviously geared to families with young children which is fair enough.

Local attractions

A drive of 10 kilometres or so west will land you at the Atlantic coast and its spectacular beaches, plentiful watersports and placid pursuits such as rockpooling, sunbathing, and mussel, crab and shell foraging. The seaside town of Bretignolles-sur-Mer about 15 minutes' drive from the farm is a popular spot for all the above, as is Saint Gilles Croix de Vie a few minutes further along the coast, and Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez a couple of minutes from there. For island times, catch the ferry from Saint Gilles to sail out to the spectacular Île d'Yeu, in an artistic setting famed for its tuna and lobster fishing. The lively and popular resort of Sables d'Olonne is 35 minutes' drive away; boat trips can be arranged from here too. And if you're anywhere around this part of France, the decidedly fab theme park of Puy du Fou, just over an hour away, is a must.
