It's free, quick and easy!
- Quiet setting a couple of minutes' walk from a watersports lake
- Bouncy castles, archery, trampolining, films and summer shows
- Modern facilities including waterpark, restaurant-pizzeria and shop
Get ready to get active, for on water and on land, there's quite a lot to do around this Vosges site. A watersports lake is only a couple of minutes' walk away; rock climbing, horse riding, bowling and golf are all available within 10 minutes; several hiking and biking trails are within easy reach, and forest walks can be organised to nature spot around the lake... whew.
Whatever you plump for, it's a fairly sure bet that the team of Camping Lac de Bouzey will be able to help you out, as they'll happily share their knowledge of activities on and around the lake, and help with booking trips and lessons with qualified instructors. And on site? What a watery and land-based lot there is to do too.
Recommended first of all is the handsome big pool, where you can laze about in the cool water if feeling inactive, or join in with the regular high season water games, aqua gym and water polo if somewhat more energetic. After that, the solarium awaits for you to work on your French tan, while tiddlers are kept contentedly entertained at the arts, games and sports of the kids' club.
If you're having a family day, giant bouncy castles are available for kids, while all ages can get stuck into the trampolining, volleyball, archery, pétanque, badminton and ping pong activities of the site's big outside activity complex. Party nights, concerts and music events are arranged in the evening for those who want to strut their stuff on the dancefloor (dads, probably); if this mortifies the teens too much, the club has an adjoining room for films and lower-key shows.
Even fussy small sorts should like the restaurant, where they can tuck into kid faves like pizza or investigate grownup dishes from the varied menu. For picnics, brekkie and lunches, the well-stocked shop sells fresh bread and pastries, local, fresh and frozen produce and other general groceries, as well as a good selection of wines and spirits and non-foodie bits such as newspapers and cigarettes.
