If you fancy stretching your legs, a pathway from the site to nearby coastal town Fécamp takes around an hour and a quarter on foot or 20 minutes by bike (it’s a 10-minute drive, if you don’t fancy the exercise). However you get there, Fécamp has a few things to keep the whole gang busy. Woody Park is a fab choice for outdoor shenanigans, with treetop adventure courses, paintball and laser games. Take the thrills to the water instead with the likes of sailing, kayaking, jetskiing and paddleboarding, or spend some time in the Fécamp Casino. Dial down the extreme activity altogether with a leisurely stroll around Louanne gardens (10 minutes). A browse around the Musée du Chocolat chocolate museum (five minutes) or the Musée des Pêcheries (15 minutes), which explores the history of Fécamp and the fishing industry, would also be a fine option, as is a tour of the impressive Palais Bénédictine palace (15 minutes). When it’s time to pick up the pace again, there’s a leisure centre over at Lake Caniel (20 minutes) with all sorts of activities, including waterskiing, pedalos, miniature golf, bowling, sledging, mountain bike rental, roller skating and karting… as well as a bar and restaurant (all that effort requires some food and drink to keep you going).
