Pick a pitch at Pembrokeshire farm site Ser a Mor Camping and you’ll see why the owners named it after the Welsh phrase for ‘stars and sea’… This family-run site is in a countryside spot where there’s often great stargazing by night, and it’s a mere mile away from the nearest stretch of the coastline at Wiseman’s Bridge. Despite being a thoroughly rural location, this spot is easy to get to by road: it’s accessed via a country lane that links up with the A477, and there’s plenty of parking on site. You will, however, be asked to leave your car away from the camping area so that it’s all kept peaceful and safe for everyone (wheelbarrows are provided to help you transport your kit to the pitches). Guest numbers are always kept low so there's plenty of space to go around. This spacious site, which only has a limited number of allocated pitches, is set within the walled garden of the old mansion dating back to the 17th century. The ruins of the summer house can still be seen and horses live where the deer park used to be in the area next to the camping fields. It’s a handy setup here, with facilities provided in the form of individual purpose-built toilets and hot showers, a washing-up area and a covered stables where you can eat meals if the weather takes a turn. Guests have access to charging points for mobile devices; fridges, freezers, a kettle and a toaster are also available. For snacks, ice creams, marshmallows and soft drinks, just head to the small on-site shop. Barbecues are allowed only if they're kept safely raised off the grass. What to do nearby? Well, this is Pembrokeshire, so there’s plenty to pick from. Family attractions like Folly Farm, castles like Carew and Manorbier, beaches at Tenby and Saundersfoot… none will take you more than 20 minutes to get to in the car. Salt & Smoke Smokery are also based on the farm, with freshly smoked salmon available to buy.

Pembrokeshire’s coastline is one of its main draws, and you’ll be well placed to explore from here. The popular towns of Saundersfoot (10 minutes’ drive) and Tenby (15 minutes) are both great spots for a family day on the beach, or you could check out the seaside castle in Manorbier or take a stroll in the dunes at Freshwater East (both 20 minutes). This part of the world is also packed with family attractions, so you should have plenty of scope to entertain kids easily at the likes of Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo (five minutes), Heatherton World of Activities (10 minutes) and Dinosaur Park Tenby (10 minutes). Those in search of a quieter day out may prefer a stroll around Colby Woodland Garden (five minutes), a visit to Carew Castle & Tidal Mill (15 minutes) or a riverside walk in the Cleddau Woodlands (20 minutes).

Beautiful views, clean and peaceful with spacious pitches. Facilities are spotless, with handy fire pits and a shop. Minor traffic noise and occasional iffy shower temps, but most loved it and want to come back.

Liked Lovely quiet site with loads of space, I particularly liked that a picnic bench and firepit are included with the site. Clean showers and toilets and easy check-in procedure. Would definitely return, easy and no-fuss.

Disliked Nothing - the hot water in the shower was almost too hot if that is a negative!

Liked Very beautiful views and a clean site. Toilets were good and always stocked. All guests were respectful of eachother and outside noise was minimal. We particularly loved the roaming roosters! Logs available for the firepits.

Disliked Shower temperature was tempermental but to be expected so not much of a big deal

Liked Absolutely stunning campsite. We have been for two years on the trot. Pitches are spaced out so you’re not overlooking everyone. Beautiful views of the sea and the stars. Picnic tables provided and fire pits. Wood can be purchased in the honesty shop which is a nice little added extra. Lovely barn area where you can go if the weather is not great and electric points where he can go and straighten your hair etc. washing facilities are perfect and toilets are cute. I love this place I will be going back again. I love the cockerels as well nice little wake up call in the mornings and my daughter absolutely adored them.

Disliked The only downside to this beautiful campsite was the showers. Kept going hot and cold. They are ok for a quick swill but not so great if you need to wash your hair

Liked Family orientated, pitches spaced out enough for children to run around without bothering anyone else. Toilets and showers not too far away and cleanest I have seen. All around great campsite, family of 5 with young children (6,4,4) excited to visit again

Liked Wowed by the views on arrival, the pictures online don’t do it justice Peaceful, quiet camp site, pitches are perfectly spread out not close to anyone at all, not disturbed by anyone else’s noise or activity you could swear it was just you there Made friends with the two cockerels roaming around the camp, and loved watching the horses frolic around in the field Fire pit was a lovely touch in the evening as well as bringing our bbq Cute and basic modern-rustic shower toilet and wash area facilities, everything you need for a comfortable stay We had a lovely weekend of paddle boarding, the site is just a short drive from Saundersfoot beach. 5* would recommend and will definitely stay again if I’m out that way

Liked Great ‘out of town’ location, space between pitches, divided by mown in pitches, clean facilities, sheltered stables, great views, pleasant and peaceful. Kettle and toaster was a helpful touch.

Disliked Fire pit stone placed near the middle of the pitch leaving not much room to position larger tents, could be better placed better. Three toilets and three showers, could potentially become a problem if site is full. Fridges and freezers are dated by working.
