  • Family-friendly site surrounded by Pembrokeshire countryside
  • Saundersfoot beach 15 minutes’ drive; Tenby 20 minutes
  • Heated swimming pool, games room and dog exercise area on site
Just on the edge of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, family-oriented Redford Caravan Park is the sort of place where you’ll arrive on site and your offspring may well disappear until it’s time for tea – there’s just so much to do (safely) around the place. Smashing amenities for kids include two play areas with swings and slides, and an adventure park with climbing frames and rope swings. Get together with all the family to enjoy a picnic by the river, while keeping an eye out for bug hotels, bird baths and bird feeders, all attracting wildlife to the park. On chillier days, the games room should take care of any bored teens as it has a pool table, air hockey, an old-fashioned grabber game and slot machines. Best of all, the heated swimming pool has a retractable cover, so it’s an outdoor pool in warmer months and an indoor one for the rest of year. Any family dogs are welcome to join your Pembrokeshire adventuring too; on site there’s a doggy play park where they can run free and chase around the obstacle course, and there are several dog-friendly beaches within 15 minutes’ drive. Practical amenities on site include the launderette with washing machine and tumble dryer, a loo block and electric hook-ups on the landscaped pitches.

What customers say

A clean, quiet site that's a hit with families and dog owners. Boasts a great pool, games room and entertainment. Pitches are mostly good, though some are sloping or close. Immaculate loos and showers with hot water. Minor gripes: limited washing up, shower temps. Handy for attractions.

We're delighted you enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the park. It's great to hear you made the most of the swimming pool during the warm weather, and we're pleased it added that little extra to your stay.

We're especially happy that your dogs enjoyed our dog park too – we know our four-legged guests deserve a holiday just as much as their owners!

We really appreciate you taking the time to leave a review and hope to welcome you (and the dogs!) back to Redford Caravan Park again soon.

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Good size pitches and fairly clean bathroom/toilets. Only two shower cubicles and toilets but most of the pitch’s were occupied by statics caravans or caravans therefore not busy. Good little pub inside with bouncy castle to entertain the children. Good choice of play areas.

Disliked No kitchen area to wash up used plates and utensils. Pitch’s quiet close to each other therefore felt a little crowded. Went to the reception area to ask for advice but always seems closed.

Non-electric grass tent pitch (wild)

Liked Isn’t far from saundersfoot & Tenby. Or folly farm for the children.

Disliked Arrived at the site, to no pitch, no picnic table as stated, no firepit. No signal and no WiFi in the tent field as advertised, had to drive out to contact a number and had to leave a voicemail as the reception and line close at 4pm. The owner shortly contacted me back with awful attitude and no apology, stressing it’s “wild camping”. But if you haven’t got enough staff to keep up with your customers then don’t accept the bookings and the £80 we payed, to supply nothing that’s advertised! She advised me she’d come and see me when she’s back in on Sunday to sort the issue and not once did I see her. Another family were left to their own devices also, until someone came and mowed their pitch the next day. Over all a bad experience and TERRIBLE value for money. Also not many activities on site if you want to keep your child busy.

Non-electric grass tent pitch (wild)

Liked The facilities are clean and tidy, the access to the pool and games room was great. Very family friendly and focused on children. The football goals and space specifically for children in the camping field was really well thought out, and the children’s bouncy castle was free in the little bar area which was a bonus and will be returning 😁

Also the tent field wasn't overcrowded and could have plenty of privacy.

Disliked The wild camping field is across a busy road, but there is a pathway to site I thought it was on site but this wasn’t really a dislike at all.

Local attractions

Kids clamouring for the beach? Quiet Coppet Hall beach is the spot for rockpooling and building castles in the sand, while the popular sands at Saundersfoot beach (both 15 minutes’ drive) are backed by cafés and fish and chip shops. Time spent in colourful seaside Tenby (20 minutes) gives visitors the option of going on mackerel fishing trips and boat cruises to Caldey Island, or you can linger on beaches with views to monumental Goskar Rock and the town’s 12th-century castle. And of course, you can tire yourselves out on bracing walks and cycle rides with ocean views in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park (10 minutes). When only cuddling animals will do, donkeys, piglets and lambs (in spring) await at Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo (10 minutes), where there’s also a penguin pool and vintage fairground. Elsewhere, kids get to meet red pandas, tigers and gibbons at Manor Wildlife Park (20 minutes) when playing mini-keepers for the day.
