Cuckoo Camping is a small adults-only site offering peace and quiet, an ideal base for a relaxing holiday away from screaming children and noisy neighbours. To ensure a peaceful atmosphere the campsite has a strict no-noise policy and all cars must be park in the designated area away from the field. This means, no radios, no music and no doors and boots slamming. It exclusively welcomes guests over the age of 25 along with their lovely pets. The tent field is spacious and each pitch is supplied with a firepit. Wood packs can be purchased on site, however you are also welcome to bring your own wood and kindling. The owners sell a limited supply of provisions for your convenience. There are two free hot showers and two toilets as well as a shared communal kitchen equipped with a microwave, a fridge and freezer, a kettle and basic cutlery and crockery. The campsite is minutes away from the small village of Gwynfe.

Local attractions

Llanddeusant Red Kite Feeding Station was opened in the summer of 2002 by a local partnership with support from the Brecon Beacons National Park, the Welsh Red Kite Trust and various other notable wildlife organisations and individuals. The centre is designed to fit naturally into the landscape and to provide bird lovers the ideal opportunity to witness red kites, buzzards and other birds feeding. Visitors may sit in the specially built hide only feet away from diving birds and observe them competing naturally for the meat provided by the feeding centre at regular times throughout the year. Explore the villages around the Brecon Beacons National Park including Llangadog, Capel Gwynfe, Bethlehem, Trap, Myddfai and Llanddeusant. Llangadog is a perfect place to stop off for lunch and enjoy the beautiful Towy River and views towards the Black Mountain. Bethlehem, set on the hillside above the Towy flood plain, is a popular route for cyclists and is overlooked by Garn Goch, an impressive Iron Age hill fort which commands fantastic views of the river. Myddfai instead, has lanes running through steep wooded valleys giving glimpses of the grandeur of Mynydd Myddfai and the Black Mountain. In Trap, guests can visit the impressive remains of Carreg Cennen Castle, voted the most romantic ruin in Wales. Enjoy the panoramic views and the spooky vaulted passageway to an underground cave.
