Stunning views for hikers exploring Snowdonia! Close to Llanberis with mountain path access. Clean facilities, friendly staff. Some sloped pitches, but generally spacious and chilled. Manager addresses noise/facility feedback.

Liked Able to choose own pitch so family group was able to camp together. Decent shower block well stocked with loo roll. Burger van welcome after day out. Allowed to have camp fire.
Disliked Camping field was on a hill but since site halfway up a mountain to be expected!

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Very busy over bank holiday which you would expect. However, trip spoilt by drunks shouting in the early hours of the morning. Not the best way to start a hike.

From the manager: Really sorry this happened to you. We try our best to remind everyone of our 11pm noise rules and go round doing noise checks but there are always some that ruin it for everyone! (usually after we've gone to bed thinking everywhere is quiet!!)

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Location and the view were amazing.
Disliked It was hard to believe that we had to pay £1.00 for a shower for 8 mins. For such a busy location 2 showers and 2 toilets ( apart from 2 behind the building) caused a queue and was uncomfortable. Cleaning was not up to standard. We could also use some extra bins per field.

From the manager: Shower charge is clearly advertised - there are no hidden fees or surprises there.
We are on a private water supply (during dry spells the supply can be limited) so charging for showers is the only way to stop people spending ages in them and wasting water. Imagine the queues if everyone was given unlimited water and time.
Bank holidays are busy everywhere, especially given the amazing weather we've had!
There is no way we would add bins on the fields - rubbish would be flying everywhere! The rubbish bins are on the carpark, the central point of the campsite. Everyone uses the facilities before leaving, we found it's the best place for them.
Our facilities are maintained regularly, even more so during busy periods. Apologies if we didn't keep them up to your standard but we try our best and in my opinion they were always in acceptable condition when inspected before cleaning all weekend.
I find it extremely insulting you gave us such a low rating for customer service having spent so long sorting an issue out for you one evening Lili. To my knowledge the issue was 100% resolved? Shame you didn't voice your opinions to us then instead of acting like everything was great! Sometimes a simple chat can clear a lot of things up :)
We love the place, the nature, very quiet and recommended!

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked This campsite is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to explore the beautiful region of Llanberis and its surrounding areas. With plenty of spots to pitch your tent, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy stunning views of the landscape, or if the weather turns, there are sheltered areas to keep you comfortable. The presence of a dry room is a real boon, especially during those unpredictable weather spells, ensuring your gear stays dry and ready for your adventures.
The staff on site are friendly and approachable, always ready to assist with any queries or needs you might have, adding a welcoming touch to your stay. One of the highlights of the campsite is the food van, which offers top-notch meals that are sure to satisfy your taste buds after a day of exploring. Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty breakfast or a delicious dinner, the food van has got you covered.
The facilities are what you'd need after a long day out hiking. Adding to the charm of the site are the sheep and cats that roam around, the latter often seeking shelter under the tarp during rainy weather, which adds a unique and homely feel to the experience.
Overall, this campsite offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, convenience, and friendly service, making it an ideal base for your visit to Llanberis and the surrounding areas.
Disliked The site is partly on a hill, so newer campers should double check their positioning before pitching. However, it’s not a major issue overall.
