What customers say
Stunning views for hikers exploring Snowdonia! Close to Llanberis with mountain path access. Clean facilities, friendly staff. Some sloped pitches, but generally spacious and chilled. Manager addresses noise/facility feedback.

Good site with proximity to Snowdon. Lack of cleanliness lets it down
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Beautiful campsite set in a great landscape. The site itself is on a hill so it makes for brilliant views of the surrounding mountains and lake. Within 30 mins walking distance of Snowdon’s Llanberis Path route if you don’t want to deal with parking at the start.
We could pitch anywhere of our choosing in 2 different fields. Could park the car right up on the field next to our tent which was good. Lots of stone fire pits scattered around and logs sold in the reception so we had some good campfires in the evenings.
Disliked The toilets were fairly nice with washbasins and hand-soap available. Unfortunately the men’s washroom was out of hand towels for my whole stay (4 days), I had to get my partner to bring me some from the Ladies room so that I could dry my hands. It was the off-season but I’d still expect one of the site owners to take a peek inside at least once a day.
The shower facilities were quite dirty with mud on the floor, a used bandage stuck to the wall and broken shower curtain. I would have liked these to be a bit nicer/cleaner given that you need to pay extra to use them. Again, this was not cleaned once for the duration of my stay. £1 for 8 mins of water starts from the time you put the coin in at the door, not the time you start the shower, so be prepared to change quickly.
Similarly, the washing up facilities were in need of improvements. Leaking taps, lack of hot water and mud in all the basins. Again, wasn’t cleaned at all during our stay. Needed a good scrub and some TLC. Hope this is next on the to-do list.

Good stay, cosy and good facilities
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Spacious, nice location, quiet, isolated but not too out the way, friendly staff, toilet facilities and shower decent, shower warm
Disliked Shower turned off early, food van not open
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Showers last 8 mins from when money is inserted
Food van is not open mid week during off season. There were less than 5 people on site when you were here so it made no sense to open the van, sorry! For future customers - instead of writing a review about disappointment, please ask us at reception if you want food as we will be more than happy to cook you something during closed hours if the chef is on site!!

Not the experience or quiet night I was hoping for or had paid for.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Not much to say here I'm afraid, sorry.
Disliked Because of the wet field, I had to park in the car park, with cars and vans parked right next to my van, with no room to tie the dogs out, sit out and cook. It was very noisy with vehicles and people coming and going until very late at night.
When I booked in, there was no apology for this and I was just told to park in the car park. I had to ask why.
The toilet/shower block were ok, but no real toilet paper and half a roll of thin, paper towels.
I was given the option of parking in the upper car park, but I decided against it as it was already quite busy and I have limited mobility, so wanted to be closer to the toilet block.
I left early the next morning and parked up in a lay-by to make myself breakfast.

From the manager: It’s very clear on our website that during wet weather we require all vehicles to park on the carpark and that we are not suitable for campervans due to this.
We tried to give you different options but you clearly didn’t want to be here from the moment you arrived. Theres no pleasing some people no matter how nice you try to be or how much you try to help!
Sorry that we don’t supply Andrex toilet paper but all toilet paper supplied are mini jumbo rolls - proper toilet paper suitable for our private waste.
