Non-electric grass tent pitch (backpacker, solo, no cars)

Liked Super Infrastruktur, sehr netter Empfang

Disliked Der Zeltplatz hatte wenig Gras und mehrere Erdflecke, was bei Regen unangenehm war.
Kann aber nur für eine Wiese beurteilen, da ich die anderen nicht gesehen habe

Bothy camping pod (no private bathroom amenities)

Liked Stayed in Bothy with no toilet. POD was excellent. Plenty of space for family of 4. Lovely and quiet. Play area was really good too and would have used it more if the weather was better. Shower/toilet block was spotless and not too far to walk. Friendly staff. Well placed for bus to Edinburgh. We loved it.

Disliked Honestly can’t think of any negatives!

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch (large)

Liked A very well laid out, spacious site. Everywhere was clean and tidy, the shower and toilet facilities in particular. The dog walk was a nice touch and longer than expected. The shop was well stocked and reasonably priced and the staff were all friendly and helpful.

Disliked The WiFi was patchy at times.

Bothy camping pod (no pets, deluxe)

Liked We were travelling in our campervan but stayed in a Bothy Camping Pod for the night due to storms but I had mistakenly booked for the wrong date.
The owners dealt with the situation so calmly and professionally, reassuring us not to worry and they would find us accommodation.
Fortunately we got to stay in the camping pod which I would describe more as a luxury cabin.
It had everything you needed, a comfortable king size bed, small dining table and chairs, kitchenette, toilet (use of communal showers) lovely covered veranda with benches and so very cosy.

All staff very friendly, the site and facilities were all spotless and well maintained.

The location was ideal.
Local amenities near by.
Close to public transport links for Edinburgh, free car park.

Would definitely recommend and return when in area.

Disliked Nothing.

Local attractions

The local bus to the festival city of Edinburgh (25 minutes' drive) runs every 10 minutes during the day, every 20 minutes in the evenings, and every hour at night; the journey takes about 40 minutes. The train from Wallyford runs every hour and takes 10 minutes. There are numerous things to see and do in excellent Edinburgh, but if you're only spending one or two days there, recommended options are the castle, Holyrood Palace, the National Museum of Scotland and the zoo (which has first-class views of the city). Elsewhere, Drummohr's location makes it easy to get to all types of days out around the coast and countryside: golf courses, historic houses and stately homes. The Prestongrange Industrial Heritage Museum (five minutes) has free entry and is a few minutes' walk from the park. Musselburgh (also five minutes) has a lovely walk along the John Muir Way. Other recommended trips nearby include Tantallon Castle (35 minutes) on its headland overlooking the Firth of Forth, trailing nature in John Muir Country Park (25 minutes) or the Lammermuir Hills (40 minutes), an afternoon among the gardens at Tyninghame House (25 minutes), or taking a boat ride around Bass Rock (half an hour to the North Berwick ferry) to see the gannet colony. If the Bass Rock boat ride gets you pondering more about the winged life of the area, the Scottish Seabird Centre is also in pretty seaside North Berwick. At nearby Dunbar (25 minutes), about 60 breeding pairs of kittiwakes are found near the harbour, and nearby East Links Family Park is child-friendly.
