A clean, well-kept site with spacious pitches, offering EHU & service points. Friendly owners, peaceful location, 10 min walk to Fort Augustus. Woodland walks & play area. No loos/showers as advertised, fine for self-contained. Great value.

Liked Location was perfect for short walk into Fort Augustus. Pitch was spacious, level and with own picnic table. Proprietors were responsive, friendly and accommodating.

Liked Lovely place to explore Lochness within walking distance of Fort Augustus. Beautiful forest walks just by the park. Very friendly owner, no stress to rush in the morning as let's you stay until your ready. Very quiet peaceful sleep.

Liked Really nice little site. Very clean and well kept. Our son loved the open space in the centre and the park just outside of the site. Would 100% recommend staying here!

Liked A great find. Electric hook up fresh water, black waste, there are no toilets on this site, the nearest a 5 minute drive to Fort Augustus. It’s tidy and well layed out. There’s a child’s play area at the back for area, some houses at the side.
Paid on arrival, friendly service.

Local attractions

The famed Great Glen Way (10 minutes’ walk) runs through Fort Augustus, and from there you can follow sections of it along the Caledonian Canal, or get high into the surrounding glens for hikes through pine forest up to waterfalls like Allt na Criche (45 minutes). As well as giving access to Great Glen Way rambles, Fort Augustus (five minutes) is home to the flight of five locks built by engineer Thomas Telford in the 1820s to unite the Caledonian Canal with Loch Ness. It’s also a departure point for boat cruises along the loch, during which you can look for Nessie. You can carry on your search for the elusive monster at The Loch Ness Centre (35 minutes’ drive), and then get down to some serious history at Urquhart Castle (half an hour), scene of centuries of battle and today a peaceful ruin overlooking Loch Ness. Heading north you'll hit Inverness (an hour) for tours of the castle and the tropical glasshouse at Inverness Botanic Gardens.
